It was my best bud’s 40th birthday today so we fished the same ole spot I’ve been going that’s not flooded to chocolate milk. The fish keep dissipating but we didn’t get skunked, even got a catfish double

We have a small tributary lake where they have made repairs to the dam twice in recent times, both instances they had to draw the lake down over 25 ft. Pearls were clutched but that was the best thing that ever happened to that lake both times. Upon refill there were tons of new trees and shrubs in the water with plankton compared to a blank canvas of gin clear water prior to the drawdown.

Had a buddy in town from AZ for the football game this weekend. We got in some fishing on Sunday. All the jumping white bass had vanished but we found plenty of shad for bait and caught LM to keep us busy

You gotta try harder than that for your dream trip!

I read a sad tale today from Fairview, NC. 11 members of the same family were all killed by a mudslide. They all lived close by each other and their homes were completely smashed/buried without warning. One man interviewed said he lost his mother and father, aunt and uncle, great aunt and great uncle, cousin and second cousin . 🙏

I use spot lock in my canoe sometimes, costs less than a whopper plopper. it’s only about 3 lbs but you need lots of rope if the current is strong

Hard to be stealthy in a jet! I can hear them coming from at least 4 river bends away

@Fishlegs, I can catch white bass on spinnerbait fairly regular, black bass only hit them bi annually 😂

If they had a placeholder they would’ve beaten the ravens, burrow has been on fire .

Got a tip from a friend there were some fish schooling, my goodness were they ever. They were so violent, I was even able to feed one a spinnerbait. Got surrounded and even splashed by fish crashing thru shad. I took some video of far away fish schooling after I had already gotten several, should have ran some video when I was sitting in the middle of the blitz but I couldn’t stop casting long enough
