Man it’s up to you, I would never run by chart but then again I’ve bounced off some things but always at a snails pace 😂 . I would just idle unless your inbetween the red and green buoys but that’s just me, I’m never in a hurry outside an island does sound correct, it seems like your in an ocean then all of a sudden it’s ankle deep I don’t think tva cut any trees, they’ve all just rotted away over time but there’s plenty of stumps where I think landowners cut trees before the dams . The mud will get ya stuck pretty bad too

@looking45That’s not actually true, just perception. McKinney fished like 320 days practicing and fishing tournaments last yr and Fujita won 4 AOY titles in Japan before ever coming to America . Young guys are spending more time on the water and doing more homework than the older guys who haven’t won in many years. They have to raise families and hunt deer and turkey

Guys you’ve never heard of? Jacob wheeler and Dustin Connell have dominated for yrs. Fujita was a fixture in the top ten last yr and won this year. Trey McKinney was a household name to anyone that followed the jr circuit and BASS opens Jordan Lee, Ott Defoe, Alton jones, dean Rojas, all still very competitive hank cherry won two classics recently and almost won a classic on grand ten yrs ago.

There are several hundred places to watch out for at the current water levels on chickamauga 😂. Right outside of Harrison bay is a place that gets a lot of folks, I’ve dragged up some mud around there. There used to be a running count on a local forum of how many boats were dry docked in the mud.

Funny you’d say that, I often fish differently because of FFS even though I don’t have it. I never knew fish roamed that much, swam that fast, and followed so often. Just from watching “these guys staring at a screen.” It can be quite beneficial to not get angry at the tech and pay attention to how pros fish, it has led to many more catches for me. the thing I’ve really employed is to quit dragging my bait on the bottom all the time and it has definitely caught many fish that I was normally fishing beneath

We use one like the OP has on our annual Alabama trip, very nice. Except when we cleaned a gar, it was so wild it kept flopping up into our face even after several denoggonizations

Never been to cali but sure looks like a groundhog. Don’t know if they exist out west . If not it’s something similar like marmot, prairie dog, pocket gopher, etc. Groundhog will walk into a trap eventually if you keep fresh sliced apples in there every couple days. But like others have suggested if you can take a pic you can take a shot 😂. Not sure if that’s an option where you live, scatter gun doesn’t go far but the neighbors will hear it . Some would be thrilled some would call the law

It was ripping! That was nearly 10 yrs ago, I was braver back then. There were plenty of people around to come get me if I got swept away 😂
