  1. Man, I (almost) set the hook too hard with Texas rig to be throwing spinning rod . But I have thrown some 1/16 oz slip sinker with spinning before and done OK, I’d get the stoutest one you can. I used to try using ultra light and 4 lb text but could never set the hook good enough
  2. The one way they could “ban” it would be making the competitors use a boat they give them the day before the tournament like those MLF cup events. The only problem I foresee there is a wrapped boat and truck traveling across America is one of the biggest money makers on the tour
  3. Wife wanted to go on a fall colors drive in the mtns but we had to run some stuff by the house first on the way. Of course I brought a couple rods…….. Didn’t wanna get skunked on a short trip so I threw my 4’10” ultra light with 4 lb mono and a tiny rapala. I was twitching it on top letting sunfish hit it. All of a sudden a silver streak grabbed it and starting taking line, a nice Alabama and/or spotted bass. One heck of a fight on ultra light , thought I’d never get it close enough to hand land. Side note: caught in same lake where we landed 80+ smallmouth last weekend, the takeover must have stalled out
  4. Yeah and people are using bow and arrow to shoot bass, you can still weigh them in dead……… y’all making up stuff that nobody said as mentioned, you can see live bait
  5. I’d say make rules that are enforceable, BASS does pretty good with that . Probably one of the reasons they are allowing any kind of transducer they want in 2024.
  6. Like I said, you can see someone throw an umbrella rig from 100 yards or better. Fujita has two live transducers on his jack plate, doesn’t have to be on a trolling motor Ice fishermen can take a livescope on a little sled, plenty of room in a boat for such in 2022 , people were stuffing sinkers into fish. That’s quite literally the oldest trick in the book, y’all are just making my point for me.
  7. Just get her out into the Atlantic and hammer down for an hour or 3
  8. Hope you slay em buddy
  9. I could be wrong but usually it’s a livewell check and hammer down. They drive in the wee hours and launch 100 boats, it would take all day to look thru every plano 3700 the opens have so many boats people drive by water to blast off because the ramp can’t handle all the cluster. Needless to say I doubt anyone will be scuba diving underneath to look for live transducers

    🤮
  11. This is how it’s done!
  12. There’s only 10 cameras and 100 boats they stare at the screen even on 2D
  13. Nobody goes thru all the boats in a big bass tournament. Heck a few guys have brought live bass to bass tournaments ala mike long . Got away with it, even with co anglers on board someone can get photo and video of you casting live bait from a distance, nobody knows what you are seeing on a screen from 50 yards away
  14. Now y’all are speaking my language
  15. Hahaha now that you say that I remembered the last time I mowed last year. I duck taped the handle bar so it would just run itself out of gas and went inside. Like an hour later my wife is sitting at the computer editing photos and says “I can still hear that mower running”. Thing ran forever on a solo cup full of gas

The highways have been having an excellent deer season so far here.
  18. I store stuff I don’t use in winter without gas in it at all, seems like a no brainer
  19. No secrets here, that’s the Holston river. People have been boating it for centuries , tearing holes in their boats on the same rocks
  20. beautiful fall temps that everyone will completely forget ever happened the first time it gets cold
  21. White bass is my spirit animal
  22. I was at a football game all day, good to hear Milliken made it! Cinderella story………. might be the first YouTuber to be a solid tourney angler . plenty of great tourney anglers do YouTube but not the other way around
  23. Bobby lane is cracking me up. He broke off a bait under a dock and picked up another rod and casted it right into the dock. Then he says “so I’ve got no fish in the box on a very important day…… all I gotta do is keep banging docks like I just did……”
  24. Sounds like an uneven playing field. That’s one thing I personally don’t like about MLF/BPT, half the guys fish one day then half the next. Then the weights reset, just a whole lot of stuff that’s not the same for each competitor. BASS elite format is pretty straightforward, most weight wins and the people in contention fish the same days with the same stuff If you only let them have regular sonar, guess what they will still be staring at a screen just catching a few less fish, just like everyone did pre 2018 also not every boat has a marshall, these rules we are imagining are not enforceable if you actually watch any live coverage from these tourneys, there’s always people using different tactics. If you just read the headline of who won, you think it’s all FFS. People were crushing big smallmouth and largemouth shallow in the St Lawrence with chatterbaits but all the internet comments mention nothing but deep fishing drop shots. The biggest fish of the whole season was caught ultra shallow with a stick worm by Jason christie at Lay lake .
  25. I like the tactx 50 lb a lot for frog fishing but haven’t tried the 65 yet
