  1. Hahaha I wish, the folks I’m talking about erroneously believe the water within 50 feet of their dock is private property and despise all wonderful things like cookies and puppy dogs
  2. I got a million things to say but I think we are fishing such different water, it’s all moot
  3. “Sir, you can’t fish here”
  4. Believe he took his ball and went home
  5. Sometimes species expand their native range naturally, then what do you call it??? Alabama bass can spill over a dam or swim thru a lock . We have armadillos slowly expanding their range into east TN. Oh the horror!!!! it’s actually all about habitat but nobody except pat brown and woody B have mentioned that, the “biologists” certainly haven’t. Habitat is all about food and herring and spotted bass together like peanut butter and jelly. another hilarious part of this discussion to me : Internet fishermen: if you put bass in a livewell and haul them around they almost certainly die also internet fishermen: if you put an Alabama bass in a 5 gallon bucket it will spread like wildfire and make a million babies don’t believe everything you read or hear, stop and think critically and as always follow the money
  6. You can still catch ‘em. I use cheap gear and a metal canoe to fish quite often, and they don’t stock much of anything but walleye and striper and those black nose crappie in lakes round here. Luckily the lakes restock themselves with bass
  7. Ironically this was what I caught today You can pair them with any rod depending on what kind of lures you are throwing. I have several but my collection pales in comparison to some here
  8. If you ever get a wild hair, I can put you in the neighborhood of some 5 lbers . Bring your scale my life is rusted over
  9. ^actual footage of me catching big bass with a spinnerbait
  10. The one thing I think is funny about discussions limiting or banning FfS, no way they could enforce that in tournament or DNR. Tournaments can’t even enforce the rules they already have
  11. I’m just enjoying the ride
  12. I do the same as OP except drain water and put in ziplock unless I have a whole lot of fish, in which case I break out the food saver. Those bags are pretty high so I try not to use them often
  13. We all knew you would keep fishing……. I suffer from the same addiction
  14. @gimruis, you’re welcome. Looked like somebody sheared a poodle but my dome is more aerodynamic now.
  15. Thanks. In the words of Chris knight, “I’m one of the river’s own”
  16. Don’t leave valuables in there and you have nothing to worry about
  17. I’ve caught lots of smallmouth with spoons of many different varieties. It doesn’t even have to be during the fall , they like a baitfish any time
  18. Whistle pig??
  19. 100 is Way too many too keep alive in a small box as others have said. It can be done with a proper filter in a big bait tank, striper guys are masters at it. Gotta use rock salt and ice too. It ain’t worth the trouble to me, I’ve caught many big bass with dead shad
  20. I was going to say, alcohol usually ranks somewhere around number 4 on cause of boating fatality here. Seems like not paying attention is always number 1 they test everyone’s blood at a boat fatality 100% of the time
