  1. I can't even hook a fish in the mouth with a drop shot, much less the gut
  2. Nice looking rig, I would spend thousands of hours up there too. I still wouldn’t call it stable if you’re on Kentucky lake in a 25 mph wind
  3. Finesse swimbait, isn’t that an oxymoron? I definitely use a lot of small paddle tail shads, usually a hand poured 2.5 inch pearl one or the old sassy shad type paddle tails . Creme braid has been working good as of late
  4. Well now Im going to the first game but not the BYU game . Hopefully going to the Mississippi State game mid October
  5. Everytime I’m in FLA it’s the dead of winter and the doggone snook are smart as can be. I dangled a live pinfish in front of one for the better part of a week under the dock the house we were staying and it just followed it around and never bit
  6. I just hook em and throw them out there after a slight bop on the head (man I’m messed up! Haha). They always run me into brushpiles if they are lively
  7. That’s exactly what happened where I work
  8. I always have better luck with almost any live bait compared to crawdads. Creek minnows and helgramites are my favorite but night crawlers are also great. Drum always eat the crawdads
  9. What’s a drought?........ I think I saw one out in Vegas .......
  10. I use a 10 foot galvanized water pipe as a push pole a lot, only $9.99
  11. They have a completely different diet so that would be tricky. Live worms would be my first choice to attempt catching both on the same bait. Corn, bread, and sweet stuff like mulberry paste or oatmeal is what carp like. They are one of the few fish in America that routinely eat carbohydrates. Catfish are predators and eat mostly other fish but have been known to take anything. I catch most of my catfish with small shad, cut up herring, or bluegill in any capacity. Where to find catfish depends on time of year, although shallow water is pretty good where I live year round. If there are schools of shad around, there are catfish near by. Lately I have caught them on 6-10 feet deep mud flats as well as suspended over 50 feet of water near bridge posts
  12. Oh yes I’ve heard that everywhere I’ve ever been, I just don’t believe it haha. They introduced themselves. Departments of game and fish seek public input and publish articles when they reintroduce anything. I would be willing to bet no one has ever actually “introduced” a coyote anywhere. They are native to all of North America
  13. Kayak could probably swing it, I think there’s a guide or two that do that
  14. I’ll try to paint the picture for you with some google images. No cell service, not many roads, never seen or heard of a drift boat anywhere near these rivers. If you took one there it would be in the top of a living tree not long after your trip. These places go from 5 cfs to 7k cfs in a day, literally. They are typically dried out rock gardens with deep holes in between in summer and class IV and V rapids in winter and spring, not just with one drop you could walk around but dozens and dozens in a short stretch
  15. Hahah. They will sink if they are broken in half. You would just have to see the rivers. Hardly anything resembling “access” either, everyone uses kayak or canoe.
  16. To each his own but the biggest ones are in a lake where no drifter is required. There is only one river I know that a lot of folks drift for them, the rest of the rivers they inhabit would sink a drift boat, or you would have to carry it. Here’s two of my buddies with a couple fish that display the size contrast. I think the bottom one was one of those “record” fish that was released . Those big monsters in the lake will eat a fly from what I’m told
  17. I can’t point you in the right direction if you ever vacation in east TN. Some really big ones
  18. I would be surprised if they introduced coyotes but if they did, they didn’t need to. There wasn’t a coyote east of the Mississippi River in the 80s and now they are pretty much in every county in America
  19. Yes you can easily row a 1448. I wouldn’t call them stable though
  20. Cry me a river!!!! Hahaha. Sounds like one heck of a successful day to me
  21. Just bring it to my place and I’ll winterize for you with pure gasoline
  22. Are you going to volunteer to complete that chore? Haha. A pond where I work had most of the fish die and the grounds crew had to scoop them all out. Most of them puked. Dead fish can not pollute water in any way, especially water that is void of oxygen
  23. What makes bass fishing different than other fishing? Nothing! I mean, you use smaller lures for fish smaller than bass and larger lures for fish larger than bass but fishing is fishing. When fishing for trout you use flies but sometimes you accidentally catch a bass. When you are casting plastic worms for bass sometimes you accidentally catch a bluegill. When you are fishing for tuna you use a big reel. What in the world kind of question is this? Haha
