@A-Jay, is there very little color change up there right now? We’re looking to make a trip up there during a good color time. But, 6poundbass is dressing and has been playing a little on Friday nights we may not make it until the last week of October which as you know is usually too late up there. I was hoping the warm temps might delay it a tad and we get lucky. Either way, we’re heading north for the weekend after his football season is done.

Not quite Friday lights, but Thursday night lights. He started the season as the Freshman QB and after two games, he got moved up to the JV QB. This past Thursday was his first game with the JV team. I asked if he was nervous and he said not one bit! He had two rushing TDs, 1-3 passing. Not bad for having only three practices with a new team. Proud dad here!

I am too so my son isn’t getting any hand me downs from me. 😁

A couple years back my son got into shooting bow. I took him to a local outdoor store so we could set it up. I brought mine too. I hadn’t shot mine in over ten years, and surprised myself with some pretty good groups. The old man still has it. On another note, he bought himself a trail cam a couple weeks ago so we’ve been keeping an eye on things. Not much activity. We moved it yesterday and we’ll give it another week. It’s still early but compared to what I’m seeing on my friends cameras that are on his property, we’re lacking in activity.

They’re unwritten…😂 Seriously though, for me personally, it doesn’t matter if I were fishing a tournament or not (which I don’t) it’s about the golden rule. Treat others the way you’d want to be treated. If you give respect, you get respect. A little respect goes a long way. This doesn’t go just for fishing, but in life in general.

@FloridaFishinFool sure we can play the what if game forever, but under most normal circumstances like I’m referring to and to be fair I didn’t specify, in the early stages of the season, middle of the season, my scenario comes into play. Your scenario comes into play at the end of the season. At that point it’s like golf, it’s a gentleman’s agreement. Again, an unwritten rule. We can play the what if game all we want. These are unwritten rules and comes down to who is the better gentleman at this point. There are no written rules.

Glad the healing process is going well. The brain is a very fascinating and complicated machine.

If I were fishing a tournament and I had no chance of winning and the other angler did I would move. Why wouldn’t I? If the roles were reversed I’d expect the same respect. If I’m fun fishing and the other angler is too, we’ll meet in the middle….I’d move around them well before we meet…you get the point. It’s not just Ike that thinks this way. This is basically an unwritten rule in professional bass fishing.
