  1. He’s not smart enough to know his name, only responds to kitty. He is smart enough to tell time. Every night between 7-7:30 he sits by my wife, looks in my direction, and meows. He’s telling me it’s time to play with the red dot.
  2. Michigan used to be this way too, but a few years ago required us to get a park pass with our vehicle registrations in order to use the boat ramps. With the park pass though you get into State Parks as well. It’s $10 a year so it’s not the end of the world. @SuperDuty you won’t be disappointed with your Echomap. I have two and love them!
  3. In my world (utilities) a drop is something that comes off from a main. Example: Out at your road, there’s a phone main running along the road. A drop comes off from the main going to your house to give you service. So, I would assume your wires labeled “drop” comes from somewhere with a main feed (maybe a fuse panel) to give you power for such things as a fish finder.
  4. The human is in the way. ?
  5. Thankfully the freezing rain stayed well south of us. We got about 3” of sleet is all.
  6. I was leaning more towards the Manson family, but the Simpson’s is probably more appropriate for this site. ?
  7. Yup, the kids are off today and most likely tomorrow, depending on how bad the ice accumulation is possibly Friday. If they’re off two days in a row they do online learning. I’m home taking care of the wife after her surgery on Monday so we’re all home, one big family! ?
  8. When do they usually drop their antlers? Most if not all of ours have dropped theirs by now.
  9. Everyone is closing schools for tomorrow already in preparation for the crap that’s coming around noon.
  10. Still doesn’t look like Miller Lite John. ?
  11. Hey Mr. Childress, can you take a picture of me and the important guy? ?
  12. Looking like freezing rain up to .25 inch and sleet for us Wednesday. Next county north is 6-10”. South of us is more freezing rain. Should be fun.
  13. Took my son to shoot his bow yesterday. I decided I’d bring mine too. I was impressed with my 20yd grouping, especially since it’s been 15 or so years since I’ve shot.
  14. Mistakes happen, human error, computer error, etc. like the previous comment stated, it’s maybe a $15 inconvenience at most I’d assume? In my eyes it’s really not worth the frustration on your end or calling and venting your frustrations with a supervisor. At most I’d shoot an email stating what happened, the correspondence you’ve had about said frog, making them aware of the end result so they can look into to try and figure out what happened to try and prevent future issues in the future. Just my opinion. Congrats on the new frog! ?
  15. Bill Lowen saying yesterday was high 80’s and today a cold front is coming in, “I don’t thinks it’s going to get 75”. You poor wretched Bill! ? 20* when I woke up this morning.
  16. Forgot it was on. Thanks for the reminder.
  17. At least he gave the tournament anglers in SW Michigan a year to save extra money for their donations. ?
  18. @A-Jay takes protecting the location of Lake Menderchuck seriously.
  19. Two answer your other question, if you cast with your left hand a reel with your right you’d want a right handed reel. I’m left handed as well and cast with my left and reel with my right, like you do.
  20. Wild bore is absolutely amazing. I kinda wish we had them around here so I could hunt them and have wild bore on hand whenever. I know they’re very destructive so it’s not a bad thing we don’t have them.
  21. I’m no expert on this subject, but from my understanding, with the lower frequency your cone is bigger which we already know. What you’re seeing on the higher frequency is the same couple of fish multiple times coming in and out of the cone which is why you see the clutter on the right screen. The higher frequency has a smaller cone so this same couple of fish are in the cone less which creates less clutter. Also, the higher frequency pings faster than the lower frequency so it’s getting a return more frequently which also adds to the clutter and appears that there are more fish than there actually is.
  22. No crazy stories about retrieving a lure, I usually don’t care. That being said, I have gone after my boat! My son was maybe 5 or 6, he wanted to hold the rope while I backed the boat into a secluded lake. He wasn’t paying attention to the rope (neither was I to be fair) and I ran it over snapping the rope! I didn’t know it until I launched the boat and watched it float away! We were the only ones there and no houses on the lake so I stripped down to my undies, waded through knee deep muck for 50-60’, then swam another 50-100’ to get the boat. Thankfully it was a warm morning with a warm breeze so after about an hour of fishing in my undies, I was dry.
  23. I wasn’t asking what he thinks of the boat. ?
  24. The big question is, how’s the new boat? ?
