I'd do 30-40# braid and adjust the leader accordingly. Or straight 15# mono or copolymer

Heavy action rod for under 100$
I've owned quite a few $100 price point rods and the Irod Fiber has been the best for me, it's not even close really. The 7'5" heavy is rated up to 2 oz

Poppin pad crasher is great, it can be easily walked too. Walks easier too IMO
