  1. I restock on tackle.. terminal, plastics, jigs, ect. And use the off season to go over my rods/reels and decide what I want to continue using and what I want to upgrade/replace
  2. Bassresource is my favorite "informative" channels, for sure.
  3. Fury with the CT easy
  4. I check my line after most fish but rarely re-tie. Especially with braid, I probably caught 40 frog fish over the course of a couple months on the same knot last summer and never had an issue.
  5. Tombstone is my favorite movie
  6. Small town. No gas station. One restaurant and one small carryout. Population roughly 700. I love it.
  7. Last time I went to Cabelas I was very disappointed in the fishing selection. Luckily there's a bass pro 5 minutes from my house ?
  8. Definitely doesn't have to be 7 feet, though most prefer 7+, I'm one of them. I like a 7'3" jig rod. Stay with atleast a 6'6" and you'll be fine
  9. Pats by 1 in a comeback win.. I'll say 28-27
  10. That's funny! Good eye

    Welcome! That's a giant!
  12. Welcome! NW Ohio here ?
  13. I know this is well below your budget but I wanted to give my input on this.. the Daiwa Laguna.. a sub-$60 casting reel. That's what I fish heavy cover with. Mostly throwing frogs in "cheese" mats and pads. It's a great little inexpensive reel, I keep 65# braid on it and lock the drag down and I've never had an issue ripping big fish out of thick cover.
  14. Daiwa and Irod have impressed me the most, Fenwick is up there for me too
  15. Do you have an Elite Series group too?
  16. 7'3" MH/F is my favorite jig length/power/taper for doing exactly what you plan on doing with yours.
  17. The Alberto is the easiest for me personally, 1rod1reel has a good tutorial on this knot on YouTube
  18. I agree with this, the medium Premier rods are super versatile and will work awesome with the baits you listed off.
  19. If I am bank fishing (probably 80% of my fishing) I'll typically bring 3, a frog rod, a jig/worm rod and a reaction rod (spinnerbait, crankbait). When I go wading in the river here I only bring a medium power spinning rod, most of the time I don't even bring my tackle bag, I throw a bag of senkos and a popper or 2 in the pocket of my waders. With that being said I don't have the need for 20 rods, I've narrowed my arsenal down to 4 outfits that cover all of my needs.
  20. With jigs and other bottom baits I set as soon as I feel them bite, I connect most of the time, and occasionally my jig comes flying back at my face.
  21. Just Ohio and Michigan for me
  22. Same old deal... Eagles will overwhelm NE in the beginning, jump out to a lead and hold it until the 4th... pats come back and take the lead with a few minutes left and that's all she wrote. To cap that off with "Amen-dola" makes it art.
