  1. 1/4 oz top end for a medium power? Hmm, micro hard baits would probably be my choice, jerkbaits/topwaters/cranks.
  2. Tatula CT is a great choice, as is the Lews Tournament MB for $140 on TW
  3. Eagles over Vikings in a tight one. Pats over Jaguars, could be close, could be a blowout in NE's favor. I really want to see Jacksonville in the superbowl, their ticket to beating the patriots rides on Fournette, and forcing turnovers in NE territory, might even need a defensive score. Pats will stack the box and make Bortles make plays. Which I don't think he will. Sigh... who knows though??
  4. Booyah has been my go-to, mostly 1/2 oz, gonna start throwing 3/8 as well this year.
  5. I've gone out a few times to a body of water that produces well the rest of the year. I have no electronics, so I'm basically drilling random holes and jigging wax worms in hopes that I can run into some fish. Haven't had any luck yet but it defintely beats sitting around all winter
  6. Pad Crasher caught my 2 biggest bass last year, 5 lbs even and a 6lb 8oz, both largemouth. Caught within 20 minutes of each other and they were the only 2 bites I had that day
  7. My favorite drummer of all time.
  8. Welcome!
  9. Tatula CT is sharp. I own one as well as the Tournament MB.
  10. Fiber is far and away the best $100 series of rods I've fished. Great choice!
  11. Good point. Didn't think of that.
  12. Do you have a Bass Pro Shops nearby? Their Bionic Blade 7'6" heavy makes a great punching rod, the rod telescopes down just above the reel seat for easy transport. I don't know the exact length it goes down to but it's under 7'
  13. I wouldn't bother throwing topwater at that temp. But if your set on it I'd probably go with a small popper
  14. To me a punching rod and a regular jig/t-rig rod are 2 different animals. If your wanting a dedicated heavy cover pitching and punching rod I'd go 7' length minimum... 7'3" and up being ideal. Heavy power at the minimum. For tip action I see some manufacturer's big punching rods use a mod fast tip, I personally like a stout, fast tip.
  15. RIP Dolores. She was an extrodinary talent. https://youtu.be/Zz-DJr1Qs54
  16. River smallies love the 90 here in Ohio.
  17. Did you have to drill a bigger hole to get him through?? Nice fish
  18. Don't feel bad. I lost my superbowl champion in the first round, Kansas City.
  19. Drew Brees-like numbers for Big Ben. If I would've saw that stat line and hadn't watched the game I'd think Pittsburg won by 20!
  20. x2 ^ as long as you don't fish super thick stuff you shouldn't have any issues.
