  1. I'm not a WW maestro, but I don't think the color difference would have an affect on the fishing hitting the bait. I never fished a pre Rapala WW, but the new ones catch tons of fish for me.
  2. The Mojo Bass or Tatula are both far superior in every way to the Dobyns Fury spinning rods.
  3. 1-Fishlab 4” gill glide bait 2-magdraft 6” freestyle
  4. I clean and lube over the winter, and once mid season. I like all my reels to be as smooth and fast running as possible.
  5. Ok, got my Victory R&Chatter today. havent fished it yet, it feels great w 3/8 and 1/2pz chatterbaits. I don’t think it would feel good with heavier baits. I casted this 1/2oz and it feels good. The taper is great. Slightly tip heavy with a Zillion G, but is pretty light in hand. I think it would make a 2.5 square bill rod too.
  6. I haven't fished that GCX rod, but I did recently hold it in a shop. It was really nice. Felt crisp and has a nice taper.
  7. You're good with those rods (7' M and ML) for sure.
  8. I have one coming in a few days I'll let you know. I felt one in the store last week and it felt amazing, so I jumped on the BYGO deal. Victory series

I’d go to the 4”. The 3” would be better as a Ned rig bait
  10. Any advice would be great regarding style, hook size, or anything else you can recommend.
  11. They are great reels. I use 5 and love them.
  12. I bought two 09 Aldebaran, and an 09 CORE used a few years ago. All are crazy smooth, cast great, and leave me wanting for nothing. All of my (3) Curado 70 reels one silver one black K all felt rough after 1.5 seasons. The silver one didn't make it one season. I have a bunch of JDM Zillions, Alpha 800, and Metanium reels that are all still in beautiful operating condition. I'm hoping they all stay that way.
  13. I got to handle a bunch of models recently. The black reel seat really makes them look sharp. I wasn't a fan of the shiny silver reel seats, The new ones are a darker, more of a grey than silver. All the rods I handled felt very good, crisp, and balanced. Even the grips are darker. Over all I really liked them. The jerk bait rod was a real standout. I don't need one, but if I did I would get it. The models with cork grips, look the best to me.
  14. Point out the Zillion. I'm not seeing it.
  15. I use them weightless T rig style. 5/0 Gamy EWG. Catch lots of fish with them, it does get big fish. However I catch plenty of 1.5-2lb fish too.
  16. Are you talking the 4.5" finesse worm? That's a real winner t rigged, and on a shaky head too.
  17. You are enjoying trolling. You needed some one to pay attention to you today?
  18. Well there you go. You seem like you want to hate on your new reel for some reason.
  19. They only require you send the label section of the rod. Just cut it off the rod, and ship in a padded envelope.
  20. Cals. Just picked up some Daiwa grease in the accordion applicator
  21. Remember the Epeditor warranty program!
  22. I feel the same about my old SJR 720 GL2. Extra fast Light power. Great stream SMB rod.
  23. Local shop in Chicago called Fishtech, had a lot of rods in stock for this season. The stand outs were: *All the new Tatula Elite rods. The new rods are over all darker grey with a black reel seat. They do look pretty sharp, especially next to the older Elite series rods they had there. They feel nice. The jerk bait rod with the cork grips is super nice feeling. * Kage rods feel fantastic * St Croix Legend Panfish 6'9" L spinning rod is fantastic, and seems really versatile in that range. * St Croix Legend Bass rods( All in, Rip N Chatter, Power Finesse-kind of a weird name for this one) Spinning rods feel really nice. * St Croix Legend Walleye Spinning rods (all of them) * Shimano Expride- They only have the older models in stock at a reduced price. This is the most models (both Casting and Spinning) I've seen at a time, and I have to say they are all pretty great. I have two spinning rods (L and ML) of this series that are great. I would have picked up the 7'2" MH, but I am full up right now on casting rods. * Curado rods are nice at their price. *G Loomis GCX spinning rods-No casting were in stock. These rod feel great, well balanced, and nicely assembled. Typical Loomis taper and feel. I would love to handle the casting rods. **The only rods to get a sad face from me are from Kistler They have some Argon and KLX rods. Both lines seem oddly balanced, and clunky to me. Don't see the appeal. Especially at the price.
