Name brand reels on Ali Express?
I've ordered a couple Daiwa reels on there, I didn't have a issue. Just the longer shipping time.

How Often Do You Clean Your Reels?
If my reels get really dirty during the fishing season I'll give it a exterior wipe down with a damp towel. If the worm gear gets dirty throughout the season I'll give it a quick Q-Tip and put a light coat of Cal's grease. End of year I do a disassemble, full cleaning, flush bearings with acetone. Grease gears, oil bearings, re-assemble.

Shimano slx combo vs Fuego Ct/ Dobyn fury
I've had a couple Fuego CT. I'm not saying the Fuego CT is a bad reel, I just prefer the Tatula CT. If you go with the Fuego CT you'll be happy fishing it.

Diawa Tatula CT
http://stores.sheltonsclothing.com/daiwa-tatula-ct-100-baitcasting-reel/ They have Daiwa Tatula CT for $99.99, I purchased a couple reels from them a while back.

Shimano slx combo vs Fuego Ct/ Dobyn fury
I'm not really a fan of combo's, pick out what rod/reels you want/like. Looking at your choices I'd go with Tatula CT/Dobyns Fury which you can put them together for around $180 if you look around. I prefer the Tatula CT over the Fuego. What baits are you planning to throw??

Diawa Tatula CT
Most of the time I won't do a complete teardown on my reels I'll just clean the old grease out of the worm gear with mild solvent with a little compressed air and will apply a light coat of Cal's Universal Grease to the worm guide & gears. I'll take out the bearings and clean them out with solvent and apply new oil. Check out Tackle Advisors you tube channel he has a good teardown & service on a Diawa Steez which has the T-Wing system like a Tatula CT.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Have to buy one more reel so I'll be ready for next season.

Diawa Tatula CT
I don't think it is difficult to service but that is my personal experience/opinion. I've had the Tatula CT dismantled to the frame, but a person doesn't have to do a complete teardown to do a good cleaning/servicing on them.

Diawa Tatula CT
I don't really care if it has the T-Wing or not as long as the reel performs properly. I service all my own reels so I don't care what they have. There are many You Tube videos how to service the Tatula CT reels and probably many others. It will be hard to find one rod that is gonna do all those baits. Probably a Dobyns Fury 734 would be the most versatile rod trying to cover that many different lures. Although for crankbaits/jerkbaits/lipless you would be better suited for a Dobyns Fury 705CB. I've never use any of the SLX reels or rods so I have no experience with them.

Rod for 3/8 Texas rigs and 3/8 buzz baits?
I have some of the Champ XP 703 & 734 models and I really like them. I think you can almost do everything with those two rod models. I've tried a couple of the Kistler KLX rods, they are alright but not worth the money in my opinion. They have a large blank and don't have the nice balanced feel as a Dobyns rod.

Don't let the bait monkey get ya, 2020 edition
A couple crankbaits, frogs, flippin' hooks, skirt material, buzzbait. Not a whole lot for me, mainly a re-stock for next season.

Daiwa Tatula Casting Rods
I've been looking at some of the newer Tatula baitcast rods. I have a Tatula Spinning rod that I've been happy with it. I was interested in any feedback on the baitcasting rods.

It worked a couple days ago. I would assume discount code done or out of stock. It looks like Sportsman's Outfitter's 20% still working.

Baitcaster and Spinning Reels - Diawa, Shimano, Lews, Quantum, etc...What to invest itn?
I don't think you can go wrong with Daiwa & Shimano reels, only the two brand reels I have experience with and have been happy with both. I don't think you need 14 setup's but that is my opinion. I would rather have higher quality reels & more sensitive rods than I would quantity. Take your reel to a tackle store that may have multiple brands and get your hands on rods. If not order some rods from Tackle Warehouse and decide which brand/action you like/need. They have free return label to return them if you don't like them. They will usually have Black Friday sales in a couple weeks.

Never get to crankbaits...
I always have 1 or 2 tied on. It is one of my top lures and a great confident bait for me.

Which One?
I've used the Dobyns Champion XP DC 703C for a couple years, it is a good multi-purpose rod if you're looking in the 1/4-3/4 range. The Sierra Series are pretty good also for a little cheaper than the Champ XP. I use it for Stick baits, plastic worms, spinner baits, 3/8-1/2oz smaller jigs, 3/8-1/2oz bladed jigs. I wouldn't recommend it for a crankbait rod.

Daiwa Rod Warranty/Replacement
It looks like Steez has limited lifetime warranty. Would I ever spend $500+ on any rod? I'm not going to spend that much for a rod. I broke a rod last year, it was my fault I steeped on it. It was a new Falcon Expert, they have a great warranty. I simply shipped the damaged rod/proof of purchase & $20.00 for replacement rod shipping of new replacement. No questions asked

Dobyns rods
From Dobyns site are the specs: Line Weight 8-17 lb Lure Weight 1/4-1 oz Action Med/Heavy Mod Fast Applications Crankbaits, Jerkbaits, Sammys, Lipless Rattlebaits, LV500, Staycee 90
-
Kistler frog rod
Yes it is a fast action. I feel that the 4 power rods are a very solid Medium Heavy. The 3 power is more of a moderate-fast action.
-
Dobyns rods
I have a Fury 705CB that I use for crankbaits for a couple seasons. I've been really happy with it and have caught some of my largest fish with it this season.

Anybody Got Purchase Plans Over Winter?
I plan to upgrade 2 or 3 reels if I found some discounts/deals and sell a few of my older ones. Also a few new crankbaits/treble hook restock.
