  1. I know you can buy them new pretty cheap. I prefer to keep as much of the original equipment on my boat trailer and I got the parts on a good discount so it was less than $15.00 for races/bearings/seals. I also already had Bearing Buddy's on it, I just wanted to freshen it up for a long fishing season. I have all the tools & knowledge to do the job so it is quick and easy for me.
  2. Falcon Expert 6'11" Hvy Dobyns Champion XP 735 Dobyns Champion XP 703
  3. Installed new races/bearings/seals in boat hubs yesterday. Sold 2 of my rods, now the suspense waiting for the 4 new ones to show up.
  4. I ordered on 27th, haven't received any yet. I'm not in a hurry, I'm getting my boat out of the barn storage next week. I did sell a couple of my Dobyns Sierra rods out of inventory?
  5. I've been using 10 & 12lb mono for crankbaits & smaller top waters, I've never even tried fluro. I don't really fish any deep lakes so it doesn't really matter for me.
  6. I've used the Fuji Ez Keeper on one of my older rods that didn't have one. I feel the the Fuji is the best quality product that lasts over a decade and only a few dollars.
  7. You can still buy them new, it appears that they work. They are a classic spinning reel and long lasting/durable product that still works throughout the decades.
  8. I always have a spinnerbait tied on all year round. White, Chartruese, Bluegille, Black are my choices.
  9. I've never used either brand. I wouldn't buy either one, not my cup of tea color/finish wise for me.
  10. I hope all goes well. I had brain surgery about 5 years ago, so I hope he has a successful surgery & treatment.

I picked this one up recently, I haven't had a chance to use it yet but I do like the bright display on it and the battery style that should last a long time. It is a nice compact, I'll see as the season goes and gets some use. https://www.fairiland.com/products/16cm-6-3-3-color-mini-gun-style-fishing-gripper-w-25kg55lb-digital-scale?_pos=1&_sid=9c2e32f85&_ss=r&variant=14248087811
  12. That's unfortunate, by the time you ship it back and they'll deduct the original shipping you'll probably be out of half you original cost. I would find a different rod brand next time you buy that gives you a better quality product & service. That is one thing nice with Tackle Warehouse is they give you a free return label if you not happy with the product. I've purchased a couple rods that I wasn't happy with and received full refund. Simple & easy return process, it shows me they take care of their customers.
  13. I just installed a re-arming kit on my 2 Cabela PFD's a couple weeks ago. I replaced the cylinder & bobbin together at the same time. The bobbin shouldn't be hard to go in, it should just slide down the tube easily.
  14. Most of the lakes I fish are usually 20 minutes to 1 hour. I will go anywhere, I like fishing different places. I go out of state several times during the season.
  15. Picked up some baits from Bass Pro because I needed a reel cover. Then I ended up spending $50 finding some baits on sale, I ended up buying some Stik-O's, Rat-L-Traps, Zoom Flukes, Berkley Underspin's. The tackle demon got me , but honey it was on sale and had to get it. ?
  16. I think the 703C & 734C are a couple good rod models.
  17. Received my last reel I needed, you can't have another rod sitting around with no reel on it.
  18. If you're cheap use a piece of rubber band and a old piece of line.
  19. I prefer cork myself, I've never had cork issues. I've always used U40 cork seal on my cork rods. Some probably don't care or don't use it. Everyone has their own opinion on it.
  20. All my rods are black or dark grey blank colors for my rods, call me picky
  21. Hook bonnets are your friend. I put them on all my trebles, never have to worry about any tangling together. I have 4 boxes of treble hook lures that I have them on. I am using Flambeau 5007, you can get them for $19.99 for a 4 pack. I can usually put 4-7 lures in each section depending on the bait size/bill size etc. I purchased my hook bonnets on ebay around $4-$6 for 50 of them. Another thing I do is put a few Silica Desiccant packets in each box to prevent any rust/moisture.
  22. I use some MegaStrike, I just mainly put a dab in the packaging and spread it throughout to all the baits. I like a little bit of Spike-It to add a little Chartreuse to the tails on a few plastics.
  23. -Falcon V12 Speedbag/Tackle Bag, it has held up very well. I have changed majority of the original boxes to Flambeau so I can fit 6 of them in there and I use 2 of the original for terminal tackle & misc stuff on the side of them. -Daiwa Fuego reels that were all purchased on sale. -Falcon BuCoo SR rods that I picked up for half price.
