  1. WELCOME to the forums!!! As Ever, skillet
  2. I probably use smaller hooks. IMHO you could get by with 2/0 or 3/0 EWG. With worms you may not even need EWG. The plastics you mentioned, I would try to stay with 1/8 to 3/16. That is unless you're fishing deep water. Go a little heavier, then, to get the bait down faster... As Ever, skillet BTW when you go to the reg. Brush Hog or something that size, go up to a 4/0 hook . Hope this helped!
  3. IMHO it's like riding a bike. You never really forget. You're right the newer baitcasters are SO much more forgiving. The rod has a lot to do with casting lighter baits. Glad you're getting the hang of it again... As Ever, skillet
  4. IMHO Chopper and Bobber are pretty much the same thing. Most if not all of the scooters built on TV would be called "custom"... As Ever, skillet
  5. The first Bass Tech where they "found" the jon boat and fixed it up was good. After that one, like someone else said, Chigger was the best thing they had going... As Ever, skillet

  15. I drive my dream truck. It's a '67 Chevy C10 with original 327ci and Turbo 400 trans. Thanks to Big Head (member) I now have a power steering system to swap with the one that's on there now ! Several other things I would like to take care of when the $$ comes available (several being a key word here). Even with the several (there's that word again) things that needs taking care of, it's a trip to drive ;)... As Ever, skillet BTW I think it's a dream and She Who Must be Obeyed thinks it's a nightmare
  16. Just had to call AOL tech the other day. They sent me an email later asking among other things how their tech service could be improved. I answered with "move your tech service back to this country" ... As Ever, skillet

It's not quite on the subject, but your post got me to thinking about things I used when I was really young fishing with my parents. At every bait shop you could buy these porcupine quills that had been made into a float. They were great! Haven't seen one in years ... As Ever, skillet

  25. Around here we don't have much rock unless it's riprap but I would like to know if ya'll find a type that goes thru small Y's or crotches of branches fairly. I know that you can usually pull them on thru (maybe ;D) but by then you've really messed up that area ... As Ever, skillet
