  1. The pics. might be a lttle much to ask for IMHO but when I saw that Raul had sent in a reply I thought MAN!!! HERE WE GO!!! I was gonna see how many pages it took or if it overloaded something : ... As Ever, skillet
  2. I had read the same thing, more than once, that RR27 and BFM said about the spro and they are a little pricey. Didn't want to be disappointed. I have used Bobby's Casting Frog for a long time and thought it was OK while you were pulling it across of moss and stuff but it lacked something when you came to small open pockets of water. I bought a 3/8 oz. Bigfoot day before yesterday and have high hopes for it (more action in those small pockets). You and I both will have to wait for a little later in the season to find out how my high hopes go ... As Ever, skillet
  3. Matt, you do good work my friend! Mine would be on the other end of the scale. I have a really pretty (solid red) Betta in 2 gal. clear glass vase ... As Ever, skillet
  4. Do a "search" for skipping. Folks did a real good job on it (spinning and bait casters) a couple of days ago ... As Ever, skillet

Yesterday was my birthday (30th,29th) and I was going fishing come Hell or high water. Well, neither one of those came but it was 42 degrees and started drizzling rain with light wind after I started fishing. Sanity was never one of my strong suits :-[... As Ever, skillet BTW Not trying to say I'm old but I can remember how amazed folks were about door knobs
  6. Don't use crankbaits as much as a lot of folks but bending the eye a little bit at a time does work (or buy all Rapala ;D). Don't seem to have as much luck with trying to tune spinner baits . Hate to retie as much as the next guy but I always figured a snap was just one more thing that could break (don't use them). Also, WELCOME to the forums!!! As Ever, skillet

  14. If it wasn't true it wouldn't be near as funny. Have had at least one of the infernal beasts around most of my life (have 2 now) and still think they're great. I know, I know ... I have issues ... As Ever, skillet
  15. With that kind of weather I would say to keep using what you have been. Jigs with trailers are always big fish catchers. If you are using something the size of a Baby Brush Hog maybe go to a reg. Brush Hog... As Ever, skillet BTW Good Luck

  19. I voted all of the above. Sometimes it's like a top water bait, get caught up in the moment and just d**n well have to throw one :-[... As Ever, skillet
  20. Would like to back RW up on this one. I voted Husky Jerk, don't think I've ever had a Rapala not run straight out of the box. If you get a Rogue that runs true it is GREAT (really like some of their colors too). I have picked one up because of the color (only had one) and it was a piece of crap ... As Ever, skillet
  21. They've got those bait folders (for lack of a better word, having a senior moment :-[). It's like a ring binder that holds lots of plastic bags with plastic zippers... As Ever, skillet
  22. Have always used Stren and used the cut-out on the side to run my line thru and every now and then drop rod tip towards box to see if it twists up. Everything is always fine until I tie on Mepps spinner or a fluke and then all breaks loose... As Ever, skillet
  23. Have been trying to make up my mind also (have been for a while :-/). Pretty sure I've narrowed it down to staying with mono (maybe try another brand) or copoly. Respect your opinion N KVD but there are quite a few folks that are members here that really like copoly over mono depending on brand ... As Ever, skillet
  24. I got out before this last little cold spell and did OK. Just getting to go this time of year is a kick. It don't take a whole lot of sun to warm up small lakes or ponds. Might try and go tomorrow if the weather holds ... As Ever, skillet
  25. I know small Bass are supposed to be way more aggressive, sometimes you do wonder "what was he thinking". It always reminds me of the old Warner Bro. cartoon of the little chickenhawk and Foghorn Leghorn (always was 2 of my favorite characters ;D)... As Ever, skillet
