  1. Good luck and wishing you a speedy recovery.
  2. Wow. I wish I would have known that. Too bad I can't order another one right now.
  3. Kistler has there Helium 3 rods on sale now. 219 plus free shipping. Just ordered a 7’ 1” MH
  4. Have you tried a cortisone injection from a doctor? I’ve had PF twice and 2 days after the doc gave me the shot the pain was completely gone. I know it doesn’t work for everyone though, my sister had to have surgery for hers.
  5. As long as the winds not blowing and the lakes not frozen I’ll be on the water. One good thing about winter fishing is less traffic on the water, no pleasure boaters or jet skis.
  6. All Dobyns blanks are made in China
  7. Just saltwater. I rented a rod and reel fishing off Jeanette’s pier at Nags Head last summer.
  8. I fished the lake Saturday, water levels are normal at whippernock but water is pretty dirty. I had a really good day, caught 12 bass,a pickerel and a crappie on a crankbait. Fished Sunday before last and got skunked, water was still a little high then.
  9. The SPRO Little John is my favorite Crankbait for cool water. Caught 12 bass,a pickerel, and a crappie yesterday on one. Water was 57 degrees
  10. The Zolo is a lot more sensitive than the Fury.
  11. I hook my lures on the reel on all my combos.i never have liked using hook keepers.
  12. I agree. I have a 10 foot pond Prowler with a 55lb Minn Kota in the front. I added my old 36 lb trolling motor to the back and it helps the rear from fish tailing. The only time I run it is to pull onto My trailer. If you don’t want to add a second motor, you could bank the boat, back your trailer in, then pull the boat onto the trailer with rope.
  13. Daiwa Tatula is the best rod I’ve ever used in that price range
  14. I’m in the same position and I’m pretty sure I’m getting a Kistler H3. Have heard nothing but great things about them.
  15. I use 12 pound P-line tactical fluorocarbon for jerkbaits
  16. Mine too. I catch more fish in October than any other month of the year thanks to the Rattletrap. Some big ones too.
  17. I love Lipless Crankbaits. I always have one tied on.
  18. That’s good to know. I might have to get a Curado rod. I sure do miss my Crucial that I broke a couple years ago.
  19. Send it back for a new one. Both of my Tatula SV’s are the smoothest reels I own.
  20. After a slow start today i decided to go shallow in the creek and throw a lipless Crankbait around the pads and then it was game on. Here’s the two biggest of the day.
  21. Are you pushing the cable into the unit as far as it will go? Mine has done the same as yours a couple times but powering the unit off and pushing the cable in tighter resolved the issue.
  22. I recommend the Daiwa Fuego CT. $65 on eBay. Best baitcaster you can buy for under 100.
  23. That's good to know. I have no experience with an ugly stick. Whenever I catch a bass over 13 to 14 inches long I bend down and grab them by the lip.
