  1. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  2. The ice tea I drink is caffeine free and the same with soft drinks. I don't drink any alcohol so I have completely ignored those comments. I tried to find some Propel this morning but could not find it in the store I was in. The website for pedialite says it is to be used under a doctors supervision so I am not sure about getting it. Thanks for the info.
  3. I had a fishing day last year that really surprised me. I was catching fish one every now and then on a baby brush hog. I was sure the fish had to be there so I switched to a 6" ribbon tail worm. It was like somebody flipped a light switch. It was unreal how many bites I got and the number of fish I caught that day. Wish I could do it again.
  4. Where mine had the bad connection it turned out I needed to recrimp the terminals on the unit where they plug in to the fuse block. Who ever set it up originally did not crimp the terminals tight enough.
  5. I'm surprised we haven't already had a child taken by one in Florida.
  6. It is probably a low battery problem. Several years ago I had a Humminbird that did that and found it was a bad connection problem in the wiring.
  7. I can't help you with your reels but welcome to the forum.
  8. The local tackle shop we have here gets a lot of their inventory from a tackle supplier. They only sell to retail outlets. A lot of times if they didn't have it in stock they could order it from the supplier and have it in a day or two.
  9. I have spinning reels that have the switch but I leave my anti reverse locked in as I have never done any back reeling. It would not bother me if i didn't have the switch.
  10. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  11. After watching the video Glenn did with a white trick worm I tried one the other day. The ware was murky. About a foot of visibility and in the low to mid 80s. The trick worm didn't even get a sniff from a fish. I have used these before and they haven't caught anything. I have a lot more confidence and much better luck with some of the other colors.
  12. I have a bunch of tru turn hooks somewhere I haven't used them in years. Once I found out about the Gama EWG and standard offset hooks I quit using them.
  13. I throw spinnerbaits on a 6' medium rod. The 6'6" rod is fine. I am using 12lb. mono on mine. All these companies rate their rods a little differently. I have never tried using braid so I don't know how much difference it makes.
  14. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  15. Bass Pro rods Lews baitcasters Daiwa or Shimano spinning reels
  16. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  17. When fishing I always take some ice tea to have with lunch. I also take a jug of water with me. Usually in the afternoon when it gets hot I start getting leg cramps even though I am drinking water. I was wondering are there any other drinks I should take to stop this problem. I have tried Gatorade when I was working nut it just left me wanting more water. Any advice is appreciated.
  18. At least a carp won't jump out of the water to attack you.
  19. I think he needs to go back and check and relube his trailer bearings before they get jealous of all the attention he gave his boat.
  20. I throw my crankbaits on a Lews BB1 reel on a 6'rod with no problems.
  21. Hello and welcome to the forum. It may be the type of line you are using. Some lines are not spinning reel friendly. I use mono on mine. I use a barrel swivel and a leader to rig mine. You also need to close the bail by hand or you will be adding to the line twist problem.

  24. If I live where I had to worry about gators I would definitely be armed in case of these kinds of situations.
