  1. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  2. My wife and I both had Covid just about a month ago. I felt like I had a bad sinus infection. The wife just had a little bit of a sore throat and a little bit of a rough sounding voice. We weren't allowed to come to the doctors office. They talked to us over the phone. They had me take Paxlovid but the wife didn't have to take it. I never lost me sense of taste or smell and my temp never got too high. We had gotten the latest Covid booster shot about two weeks before that. We had gone fishing the day before I got it and felt fine all day. Guess the fish are getting even with me.
  3. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  4. The way @RipzLipz has it pictured is close to how I rig mine. I want the end of the hook inside the plastic to protect the knot. That is why the 1/0 EWG size works so well for me. I'm not about to try to rig it with a much bigger hook and try to get the hook point in a little thin plastic tail.
  5. Mine are stored on vertical rod racks in the basement. I leave everything together until I take the reels off to clean them. While they are apart I plan to clean my rod handles and recoat them with U40 cork sealer.
  6. I have used a lot of Zoom Fat Albert Grubs. I always Texas rig them Gama 1/0 EWG hooks or a 1/0 Skip Gap hook and had very good luck with them. I am very puzzled by @Tennessee Boy using a 3/0 hook. I would like to see how he does it since a 1/0 is almost the exact length of body of a 3" grub.
  7. @Mossman TRD stands for The Real Deal.
  8. Hello and welcome to the forum.
  9. I kept working but I started taking some of the easier work orders. I was doing a job that was physically demanding and hard on the body. It was time for the younger guys to figure out how to get it done. Looks like it is time for @TnRiver46 to start up his own business.
  10. Hope they can find the problem and get her on the road to recovery.. Hope your Thanksgiving goes well.
  11. I caught my two biggest LMB about 20 minutes apart. Caught them both on an OL Monster Worm. Caught several SMB this year but nothing very big so I have no idea which one would have been the biggest. Also caught several Spotted Bass this year which is unusual for me. Caught the biggest one on a Magnum Finesse Worm.
  12. All I have ever used is Norelco electric shavers. Never had a beard or mustache either.
  13. I use mono for crank baits, spinner baits, and top water baits. I use floro for Texas rigs and jigs. I have braid on a couple of spinning rods. I put braid on one bait caster for frog fishing. I think I have used it once in two or three years.
  14. Zoom has color called Rootbeer now. The have the Finesse Worm and Trick Worm in that color. Problem is I can only find them at a place we aren't allowed to mention on here.
  15. I don't keep track of the mileage between oil changes. When light comes on telling me it is due for an oil change I take to a shop that does it for me. Cost around $65. My wifes car doesn't have a warning light so it gets an oil change every 3000 miles.
  16. Zoom has several baits in Rootbeer Pepper Green. This has been a good color for LMB and SMB but they don't have a drop shot worm in that color.
  17. The last couple of trips everything has been caught on the Ultra Vibe Speed Craw or the Baby Brush Hog in Watermelon Seed. The places we fished only had rock banks and laydowns and stick ups. No grass or vegetation.
  18. So far I have been very lucky and never launched without the drain plug being in. The only time I ever take it out is when I will be driving in the rain or if it has to go in for some repair. The rest of the time the boat stays in my garage so I don't see a need to take it out.
  19. The Wee R Rebels used to be one of the best crankbaits you could get. I haven't used mine in quite a while. I have some in the color pattern you found but the only thing I could ever catch on that particular color was Catfish.
  20. The brown crank bait is Deep Wee R Rebel. I can't help you with the swim bait.
  21. @Koz I noticed it too. @Bird had already beat me to it in posting about it. Obviously there are several that never looked at the date of when it was first posted.
  22. Zoom's Old Purple and Junebug.
  23. I have posted on here before I had a brother in law that was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He passed away in 2011. Now my sister he was married to passed away in January this year. Being a co executor of the estate we have cleaned out the house and have it up for sale. We have my BILs navy uniform and his storage trunk. Does anyone know what we can do with these items to make sure they are properly stored and cared for? Any help is appreciated.
