How long have you been fishing?
Been fishing for 60 years. Dad got me started bream fishing with a cane pole when I was 6 or 7. I didn't start bass fishing till about the mid 60s. I am like @Mike L I really feel old typing this.

school me on paddle tail swimbaits
Swim Senkos and Zoom Swimming Super Flukes have been my best ones and I don't set the world on fire with swim baits but like I said I just don't use them as much as I should. I also like using them on a Swormin Hornet fish head spin.

YUM Lures: Made In America?
I may have to check out their products again. I bought some Yum baits probably 20 years ago and never caught anything on any of them. I never bought anymore and the ones I tried I believe they quit making. Probably 95% of my soft plastics now are Zoom.

Who's had good and bad experiences with the Berkeley Choppo?
I bought one of the small Choppo baits during the BPS spring sale. I have used it once and caught one bass on it. I am like @Brew City Bass in that I won't pay the price for the Plopper when the Choppo will do the same thing for a much cheaper price.

In Praise Of The 6:3:1 Gear Ratio Bait Cast Reel ??
I use a 3:8:1 when the water temp is below 55 degrees. Fish usually aren't chasing anything real fast in water that cold.

school me on paddle tail swimbaits
I have 3 different brands of swimbaits. I don't use them as much as i should. Everything I have caught on them has been set up as a Texas rig with a 1/8 oz. sinker. Every time I have used a swim bait head I caught nothing and spent more time hung up.

What tackle boxes do y'all use?
I still use a hard style Plano 9606 tackle box. I really like it but they are getting hard to find.

Boot recommendations anyone?
I used to buy Wolverine boots. The problem I had was after about a year the soles would split on them and have to be replaced. Hope you have better luck with them than I did.

Screen Cleaning.
I am surprised at using Windex or vinegar. I thought they would be something else to avoid using on this type of screen. I offered to let the guys at our local tackle shop use Windex on theirs one day while I was in there. They said it could not be used on them. I don't know what brand electronics they have.

Beating the Heat
I have some BPS shirts with the sun protection in short sleeve. I also use sunscreen. I can't understand how a long sleeve shirt keeps you cooler. I am like @TOXIC in that I came very close to having a heat stroke years ago. Ever since then the heat can really get to me.

Boot recommendations anyone?
I liked Timberland boots when I was still working.

Screen Cleaning.
I know you are supposed to avoid using anything with alcohol or ammonia in it to clean them.

bass tracker 1986
I would try to contact Bass Tracker to see if they still have one. I can guarantee you BPS won't have it. I tried to get some info mine from a BPS Tracker center. At the time my boat may have been 10 years old. They told me the they didn't have anything on one that old.

Do you know anyone who quit fishing?
I guess with this you won't worry about no out board motor, trolling motor, or depth finders.

Hooked Again
You have done some thing to make those fish mad at you. I think you need to find a new place to fish. Hope you are doing okay and things get better for soon.

Best monofilament
I have used Sufix Siege for several tears and have very good luck with it.

Screen Cleaning.
This is the answer I was hoping for. I wanted to know for sure if it was okay to use on my Garmin units before I tried it. We have several bottles of eyeglass cleaner here.

Motor Guide Gator 360 mount repair
I broke the same type mount on my trolling motor last year. I was able to get used parts to fix mine from a Motorguide repair man.

Bunk carpet
Like @kjfishman I have done this twice. I bought new lumber and carpet and made the new bunks at home. Took it to a boat ramp and tied off the boat. My wife usually goes with me and fishes out of the boat while doing this. I take a cordless drill with me to drill bolt holes in the new bunks. Be sure to not let the bit go all the way through. I only had three bolts on each bunk so it didn't take too long. I also had new bolts and washers to use. I did not use any old material back.
