  1. Despite having more expensive rods in my lineup, I still use a couple Aird-X rods...definitely fish above their price-point.
  2. I hate what Nora's gonna have to go through when I exit this plain and she's gotta deal with my leavings. I've lived in this same house for 39 years...you guess how much I've accumulated in that time.
  3. No help here - I don't get sea-sick. Nora's and my honeymoon was on a cruise ship. Fourth day out we caught the edge of a hurricane - she was doped to the gills, laying in the bed in our cabin moaning....I was walking the decks. 😁
  4. So far, so good - one more shot this week (today)...a white blood cell booster, then a CT scan tomorrow to see if there's any effect from the two rounds. 2 More rounds scheduled and a PET scan later in June....then we see how it's really doing. Little nausea, but my appetite hasn't suffered too much. Wife bought me a guided trip since I don't think I'll get Bass Trek in the water this year...so prepping it for sale. Trip is with a guy I've followed for a few years now and we've interacted on his YouTube and Facebook accounts - so should be interesting
  5. I've hit the limit - now that I have a time-table...the monkey glared at me and ran off...probably to pound more on the rest of you.
  6. I just use Brasso for everything I want to polish up.
  7. That's my spinning reels - Zebco Cajun - that bright red really shines through - and at $6.50 for 1500+ yds at Fleet Farm...a bargain
  8. 10# Berkley Big Game on the casting reels - no matter if my main-line is 10# InvizX or 50# 832.
  9. Ya, UV Speed Worms are my standard for Free Rigs - get that weigh further from the hook is the ticket.
  10. That looks to be a decent size pickerel....
  11. Don't forget the post the link - I'd love to watch this.
  12. I do all the laundry in our house and solved those issues.
  13. Warn me next time - I nearly choked to death.... 🤣
  14. So you're about 7'6" Clayton? Like Gim, I pretty much keep to 20' and under - and for me it's usually 10' or under.
  15. Only times I went on Leech was in the college girlfriend's 24' Ketch - course then you WANT the wind blowing. Say 'HI' to the old neighborhood for me - high school g-friend graduated from Cass Lake while I'm a Bemidji HS alumni.
  16. Last time I was there, it was pretty good from the ramp to the Amphitheater, and the ramp to around the north side....but that was 20 years ago so who knows now.
  17. You're forgetting that the IGFA tested YZH and came up with these 'true' breaking strengths.
  18. No it's a size XX, but EEEE width Like me - I wear a 10EE - he might be a 12EEEE
  19. When I went into manufacturing from retail, I had to get steel toes. Having little free money at the time I looked for the best ones I could get at the best price. Got a pair of Dr. Scholls work boots (back then they had a steel-toe model) that lasted me 5 years. After that I had to settle for some Wolverine's that didn't last near as long. My last pair was some Sketchers that held up just fine and I still have.
  20. Since my wife grew up in that area, and I did do some fishing a few times when visiting her family, I can point you to a couple spots, Yes, subdivision ponds are off limits unless you live there, and unfortunately the shopping/business center ponds belong to them, so unless you get permission they're also off limits. Couple places to try that I did and had some luck. Sunset Cove - west side of the city, just NE of West Boca Raton Community High School. There's a boat ramp on the NE end, past the Amphitheater. Independence Bay - just north of Wiles along S Powerline is a stretch that you can shore fish from along Powerline....just have to find a place to park. John Prince Park - Off of S Congress Rd just north of Lutana is the last place I tried. I'm sure if you talk with some of the bait-shops you'll find more.
  21. Gorgeous Osprey.
  22. Well, another almost-skunk night. Not only the granddaughter, but the 13yo grandson tonight. I caught a 8.5" black crappie and a 5" pumpkinseed sunny....that was all she wrote for 3 hours of all three of us trying. Next Friday is questionable as it depends on how I feel after my Mon-Thurs Chemo.
  23. I haven't seen a bass catch a snake, but there is this.
  24. With their budget cuts? Better call the local diving squad....you'll get better luck.
