What's the max depth you'll fish normally?
So you're about 7'6" Clayton? Like Gim, I pretty much keep to 20' and under - and for me it's usually 10' or under.

Only times I went on Leech was in the college girlfriend's 24' Ketch - course then you WANT the wind blowing. Say 'HI' to the old neighborhood for me - high school g-friend graduated from Cass Lake while I'm a Bemidji HS alumni.

Boca Raton Beginner
Last time I was there, it was pretty good from the ramp to the Amphitheater, and the ramp to around the north side....but that was 20 years ago so who knows now.

Work Boots
When I went into manufacturing from retail, I had to get steel toes. Having little free money at the time I looked for the best ones I could get at the best price. Got a pair of Dr. Scholls work boots (back then they had a steel-toe model) that lasted me 5 years. After that I had to settle for some Wolverine's that didn't last near as long. My last pair was some Sketchers that held up just fine and I still have.

Boca Raton Beginner
Since my wife grew up in that area, and I did do some fishing a few times when visiting her family, I can point you to a couple spots, Yes, subdivision ponds are off limits unless you live there, and unfortunately the shopping/business center ponds belong to them, so unless you get permission they're also off limits. Couple places to try that I did and had some luck. Sunset Cove - west side of the city, just NE of West Boca Raton Community High School. There's a boat ramp on the NE end, past the Amphitheater. Independence Bay - just north of Wiles along S Powerline is a stretch that you can shore fish from along Powerline....just have to find a place to park. John Prince Park - Off of S Congress Rd just north of Lutana is the last place I tried. I'm sure if you talk with some of the bait-shops you'll find more.

Well, another almost-skunk night. Not only the granddaughter, but the 13yo grandson tonight. I caught a 8.5" black crappie and a 5" pumpkinseed sunny....that was all she wrote for 3 hours of all three of us trying. Next Friday is questionable as it depends on how I feel after my Mon-Thurs Chemo.

Batteries
First generation lithiums for boats were Lithium-Ion, and yes, they were very prone to fires if physically damaged. Latest gen is LiFePo4, which is almost impossible to set aflame, and doesn't burn near as hot or long if they do catch fire.

Weedless Soft Plastic for Panfish (Bluegill, Crappies, etc.)
2.5" Berkley Gulp Minnows can be T-Rigged, as can the 2" Berkley Paddletail -pretty much any 2-2.5" bait could be rigged that way. Course you could really go 'hog wild' and get some #10 or #6 EWG hooks and rig anything you want weedless https://www.amazon.com/BBBF-25pcs-Premium-Freshwater-Fishing/dp/B0DSF9LS1F/ref=sr_1_245?crid=7440NYM2IV5Y&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.6z_EESiIPXL9KsgOe4ojszwgF5xAh5fbE0vL82nsKzP2G0h3gQpmrsRlHdotIvLhQVuiBlnS15_ZkdOWLHBLl7giGbPh9TEih17cR9TuuQw.zAn4WFhUWExyuF2r7Ejj_QFpVm2tkpBlNRUh--bHYQM&dib_tag=se&keywords=panfish%2Bbait&qid=1746718421&sprefix=panfish%2Bbait%2Caps%2C140&sr=8-245&xpid=0EZEHpU5AUu2E&th=1

I hope you meant 'in parallel' - series connection would give you 24v, contra-indicated for a 12v TM.
