  1. That was call The Hot Spot from Cotton Cordell then came the Super Spot. They catch fish. I don't have a original one anymore.
  2. Check tackle warehouse I think they have some
  3. You already have ewg hooks but the BKK spear ewg hook is about the most aggressive ewg that I know of. It already is a sinking bait but you might compare the sink rate of 1 size bigger hooks to see if it works for you. If they are just slapping at the bait maybe a color change would work. That would be my first thing to try IMHO. There are some guys who know jerkbaits a lot better than myself who might chime in soon.
  4. Hope you have a happy and safe 4th of July also.
  5. It works I tried it with 3 in BPS stick-o 4 ft deep.you need a little bit of wind waves to get it to dance all on its own. A quick little jerkbait action pop will make it dance really well.
  6. C&B outfitters in Lugoff S.C. is the mom and pops place to go In northeast Columbia side of town. Palmetto State Armory is on the other side of town IMHO they are the best around for tackle and etc.
  7. I have several mh/f spinning rods and I usually have one in my hand most of the time. Flippin and frogging needs a hvy rod and a baitcaster. Heavy t-rigs and jigs I use a mh/xf and a baitcaster.
  8. Looks like a Lo45g eagle claw rotating worm hook. IMHO
  9. I would use a x zone adrenaline bug ( green pumpkin or junebug. Or I use a Pit Boss in the same colors maybe to add watermelon orange. There are hundreds of different things people may prefer it all depends on what has worked for them.
  10. Junebug, redbug and plum work well in warm tannic water in S.C. as long as there is a dark muck bottom. If the bottom of the lake is rock or sand then not as much so. Color is about confidence with the angler also. That is why the soft plastics wall at the bait shop is the largest display in the whole shop. Jigs are different though my favorite jig is black and yellow.
  11. Very Nice fish Pat Brown. Very nice!!!
  12. That hurts just looking at it. Glad you are on the mend now.
  13. Smoking shad and baitfish colors work well also. Every body of water is different and can change without notice. When I am able to bank fish I will take a bag of flukes with me and I will take a couple of baits in that pack that are different colors. Good luck
  14. Terrible news. Prayers going out to all the families.
  15. That's exactly what I had to overcome when I started out with baitcasters. I was snapping the rod like I did with my spinning rod. I had to learn to cast correctly. Having good centrifugal brake system helped too I got a Shimano reel and it helped me a lot. There is nothing wrong with magnetic brakes but the centrifugal seemed to help me work it out. I can use either style now. Even at that the trained thumb is the best in flight adjustment for that
  16. My attempts with fc on a spinning reel never turned out too good. Braid to mono leader has never given me any grief at all. I hope you have much better luck with it than me.
  17. My one crankbait is a Strike King KVD 1.0 in Bluegill but it's all in on largemouths. Smallmouths were not near enough to me.
  18. Bass Resource is the king of the forums. It takes great leadership and great members It's here without a doubt! Thanks to all!!
  19. Wateree Creek Landing is closest to interstate 77.
  20. I have one of those soft pack lunch boxes that I have used. I don't think I ever put 6 bags of baits in mine but 4 bags, hooks and tungsten weights went in it for sure.
  21. That reel will work well for what you said you wanted it for. My preference is a 6 speed model so I can do multiple things with it . I have used a 5 speed before and it worked really well. But I feel like the small difference in inches per turn helps me keep up with the fish better.
  22. The Kastking v15 rod rack is good but you have to have space to be able stagger to get all the reels to have space I got no complaints with them.
  23. 6in Dizzy Diamond worm gets a nod from me. There is a Magnum Dizzy that works good also. They are kinda a local favorite.
  24. I have been using the Trashmaster jig with a Rage Bug or a Rage Menace. I like the design of it and it has been a good producer for me.
  25. Red bug is the U-tale worm. My vision might not be perfect but red bug is darker to me by just a little bit.
