  1. I am of the impression that no 2 are the same. I have a black one that gets bit a lot. And I have a bone colored one that has not been bit since it came out of the package. Idk? I own 3 90's and 3 60's . I seem to have some better luck with the 60 size over the past few years I have had them.
  2. I just have a question. Can you get warranty service buying them overseas? Or if you break it then you get to keep both pieces?
  3. I use the Bass Pro Excel now and it works very good. And here recently I was given some Kastking Destron Mono to try out. The Destron is very thin compared to the Excel mono. And that makes it more manageable. I really have been mostly impressed with it. But I would recommend one thing for it is to purchase it by diameter more than lb test. When the label says 10 lb it is pretty accurate. But 8lb test in the Excel is 12 lb test in the Kastking going by diameter. The Kastking is still more manageable at equivalent diameters.
  4. There are many attractants out there Mega strike is one of them. Pro cure is recommended for zman baits and it seems to work ok. Liquid mayhem is another. Or you can purchase your baits already preloaded with some type of attractant. Sometimes it really makes a difference. And then sometimes you can't tell any different. There is also attractant in the bait dyes. JJ'S magic is one of them. And it comes in a clear form also just for the attractant. For me personally the mega strike and the JJ's Magic work ok. You will find one that you will like by trial and error.
  5. I have a couple KVD 4.0 and a 8.0 square bills. They work great I might would consider them also.
  6. I have a little different way of looking at it. The season and water temp tell me a lot. I adjust my baits to that and how bright the sun is. But then it is up to the angler to find the bait that they want. And it mostly is about what part of the water column the fish are feeding at.
  7. You hit the nail on the head. The big question is does the rod feel just right to fish with the way the Op wanted it. That is the most important detail.
  8. This is the first year to try this challenge . I got 3 the last week in January and 3 today. I caught a 5 lber today. But with hard baits so far this year. I have yet to catch one with soft plastics.
  9. Those baits are on clearance here in town I went to one in Lexington and paid 1.00 to 1.50 per bag. The only color hammer hog they had was black and blue.
  10. I use 2 brands of ewg hooks the Vmc Ike ewgs for my light rigs. If it is a heavier t rig or I think it is thicker cover I use the owner ewg+ never have any troubles
  11. The super fluke is normally a great bait and falls great for water up to about 8 ft down. If I want a faster drop the Strike King Caffeine Shad is much faster. If I need more depth faster I use the Vmc Drop Dead hook. Mustad also has a adjustable weight hook too.
  12. You know it is hard for me to believe that these lures aren't sold anymore. I still have a minnow and some humpbacks and some pop R's left but I'm sure that if they were on the market I would still be a customer for them.
  13. I have used Zoom Super Flukes all year long. They work almost as good as a senko. Seems like the dying baitfish works out for a lot of the time. Pearl chartreuse when the water is cold. Tennessee shad works for me when the water is warm

The best dye and scent package is in the JJ's Magic but it is the most volatile as far as leaking. I also have some of the Spike it chartreuse/garlic. The unique one that I use is the clear JJ'S it just puts the scent on the bait. It has worked out really well this past 6 months. I didn't use any of these last year but this year I have found that it helps most of the time to use it.
  15. That must be a great bait. You need to fish it more. A lot of times baits are not that good. I can remember just a few years back We used to buy baits 3 or 4 at the time just to find out 1would run right and produce bites consistently.

I throw square bills a lot. And I throw them up against cover making them crack up. I have lost quite a few this year. But it has paid off with several large catches. You can't catch anything if you don't try to fish them. The old saying fits " You can't hit the ball if you never swing the bat" .
  17. Craigslist is ok but eBay will take their share and then you got that discounted price that you were trying to get more money for. Fb marketplace works ok too.
  18. I have the twin tip perigee 2 rod. It really fishes well for me. As far as sensitivity it is the same as my BPS carbonlite 2.0 in IMHO.
  19. If you are afraid to break it then when will you use it? In my humble opinion it's a tool to catch fish with. If it breaks catching fish or trying to catch fish then I don't sweat it. Now transportation and storage breakage just ain't cool.
  20. War Eagle and Booyah
  21. Plastic man If someone asked me what I fish with most of the time it would be a soft plastic. I think that I really would rather fish cover with a plastic worm or craw than most anything else.
