I think if the senco bite is good right now I would go with that as long as I could. You don’t want to ruin some ones day with a treble hook.

I almost bought that mb bait. Damm I just like the pricey stuff.

I stopped by a small mom and pop today. The guy made sure to tell me he can offer up to 30 percent on rods up to $150. And had 30% off all acuma Rods I think if you pop in and buy a lure a few times over the next couple weeks you could get something off.

Grab the dc for $190 may not have the chance again. I literally did the cast against the wall test the other day and it works.

If you fish from the bank think about the terrain. A 7’ rod can be tough cause of trees,bushes and stuff.

Get a nice medium rod you would like. So you can add it to your arsenal when she’s not there.

I have s 6’6” mh/f and I really like it. Plenty sensitive for bottom contact and It has also worked well for spinner and cranks. It’s a well rounded rod. I will by more of them.

I need some free time so I can take my new dc reel out and hear it sing. Even if it is just in a snow covered field.

I agree distance matters from shore, but you have to be able to swing the rod. Think hard about the terrain you have around the banks before you buy. Most places I fish 6’6” is tough.

Bps carbonlite 2.0 m/f and a shimamo nasci 2500. $220 total price. Great rod, great balance. I also fish of the bank and like 6’6”. Pretty sensitive with a soft enough tip to play with some moving baits. I really like it for the price. Great for weightless/lightly weighted plastics, some topwater stuff and small cranks. It really is a nice all around spinning setup.

Yup, I leave enough braid on the spool so the 150 spool fills it back up. I used a Used a double uni. When you get down to that knot do it again.

I use a 50 cent photo album from Walmart. A old cd case would work as well. Just leave them out to dry before they go back. Holds allot of them and takes up very little space. Fits in the small side pocket of my back pack.
