  1. Fish probably got shot before he could get a good picture
  2. Its the hardbaits that keep hitting me in the wallet. I can't stop.
  3. MAN replied to TOXIC's topic in Fishing Tackle
    Interesting!
  4. Is it made in China? I couldn't find anything on country of origin?
  5. I fish alone. Don't have any friends or family that are really into fishing... just some coworkers. Which is kinda ironic because fishing is my life/career and yet I have never been able to make any fishing buddies.
  6. Thats not uncommon at all back then for a $50 rod to have the basic Fuji Aluminum Oxide guides in them. Back then a full set was only about $2 manufactures cost.
  7. I may be completely wrong, but I felt like those were made for Ande by Folsom or Tsunami at the time.
  8. ahhhhh ok it just clicked. I won't be the one to ruin it though. ?
  9. Ouch...initial ebay search kinda hurt. I use to sell them basic 6000's for $49.99 back in high school ?
  10. I need to get my hand on one of those!
  11. I just got rid of 8 lowprofile reels to make room for some swedish abu's. Now the EBAY hunt begins.
  12. Stood and watched a guy named Joe take one for the team back around '99 and taste a bunch of the available brands we had at that time. I think only 1 actually had any resemblance to the smell. The others were very "chemical". Don't know if that matters or how accurate he was...but it was fun to watch from the sidelines.
  13. Thats why I stopped drinking and fishing at the same time. My attention to detail falls dramatically. That can be anything from not using the right bait color to standing on the bank and casting into car traffic instead of the water.
  14. I think Argent was the last stronghold for the common low profile baitcast reel in the U.S. and they moved them overseas about 6-7 years ago. Now its all larger machined aluminum reels remaining here. But someone please correct me if I am wrong.
  15. By far the most innovative lure I have seen anyone try to make in a while (if you are talking about the world minnow version). Bait looks good.
  16. I cut through the apparel to avoid that booth and its 2 over achieving employees. And I know I ain't the only one because it looks like there's a well worn game trail going around that booth in the carpeted apparel section.
  17. looks to still be available on their website
  18. Balance shouldn't be off on a split grip purely because it is a split grip. Placement of the reel seat will balance, and if a desired width of split is a must (having a whole series match up exactly) a counter weight is used inside the buttcap where necessary. Then some choose to balance according to point of sell (no reel) and some set it to balance ~6-7ounce reel.
  19. Wow I forgot all about those reels. Just went down memory lane for a couple minutes.
  20. As a $30 rod user but a $XXX rod developer there is definitely more vibration transfer in a high modulus graphite rod as opposed to a fiberglass rod at point of contact. Whether or not that vibration does anything for you...is up to you. For me...a basic $30 IM6 rod in several actions does just fine.
  21. I am DONE! I still have much to giveaway
  22. Did you seat the clutch whe......nevermind ?
  23. Hello from the U.S. What exact technology in the reel are you referring to?
  24. Wow! Thanks mystery sender! Gonna get these Xzone's wet this upcoming weekend for sure!!! ???
  25. Just to be clear the max total amount we are allowed to gift is $1,000 right? Just want to make sure I don't accidently go over, and end up breaking a rule. ?
