I'm curious which one you have that is sinking that fast?
  2. Had to zoom in a bit...is it that spinner bait hanging from the end of the branch?
  3. Hope to see some innovation in their soft plastic lineup.
  4. I would agree unless these were old reels with casted gears. Otherwise he put a lot of miles on the reel right out of the box, but since there was no stress from retrieving anything it probably didn't hurt anything as well. Good way to kill some time and learn the inners of the reel though!
  5. What exactly was he "breaking in" within the reel?
  6. When I first saw the Buzbe stuff when it debuted at ICAST several years ago the very first thing I thought was this is absolutely amazing......for people who make jewelry.
  7. There are definitely different grades of composite side plate material. The better reels will have a 60/40 ratio of nylon/carbon and can take some serious torque.
  8. I thought Heddon made them
  9. I'm not going to try to prove you right or wrong, but nothing in the pictures speak to the true components that make a good/better spinning reel. Thats where you really would need to do the comparison at. It does however help to show that exterior cosmetics mean a lot to the consumer.
  10. Youtube "old fishing shows". I think the youtuber is Patrick Ross. He has over 200 shows compiled. I watch them all religiously.
  11. Common misconception that name brands produce private label brands anymore for big names. (aside from co-branding). In this case its probably still Global Sino.
  12. I do not believe that they are made by Diawa.
  13. I traveled 4 days ago with lures, bags of hooks and a fishing reel with line (saw that mentioned above) in my carry on backpack and was just fine.
  14. Waddle Bat is the other one.

    Cue up the japanese porn!
  16. Recovering rod-aholic. Had upwards of a hundred in my garage. Eventually realized I could do everything (both salt and fresh) with no more than 10. Gave them all away last year to a lot of lucky people on the Nextdoor app and random people fishing the neighborhood lakes. Now my work office....I still have over 1,000 rods.
  17. Man this post just sent me down a long rabbit hole. Some of those lures on Oh Chuck are absolutely amazing. Thanks for posting
  18. put me in the baby brush hog camp

Running out of shape options. Will still catch fish though
  20. Yup...no radio's or music allowed on my boat. (even though I'm finding it harder and harder not to hear others).
  21. Yes, Realistic shapes absolutely matter. Roland Martin figured this out back in the early 90's.

I would say there's a little bit more you could add to that. But you defintly woudn't need more than a 3600 once you have honed in on you tried and true baits.
  23. I think most folks do not use manufacturer's MSRP when talking about tackle prices. I think they jump on the google machine...look at what 3-4 retailers and ballpark it. But I may not have grasped exactly what you were asking.
  24. Let us know if any of the above took care of the issue.
