  1. Like to add, times have indeed changed. My mom never worked a day in her life so naturally my dad had minimal responsibilities inside the home. When he walked into the home after a long day at work, no one spoke until he did. My wife grew up in a home where both parents worked so when we got married there were moments of combat. Lol Our 1st Anniversary ( 1986 ) my wife wanted an Agner designer watch with diamonds. I said why do you think you need a watch when I bought you a stove with a clock ?
  2. I use a 6'6 for finesse, mainly Neds and drop shot. My casting accuracy is much better with shorter rods, especially casting to cover.
  3. Since I retired, things have changed drastically. Wife is younger and has her own business and travels quite a bit. I've assumed all laundry, dishes, vacuuming and cleaning the house. However, wife is like Rachel Ray and is passionate about cooking. If she goes on a trip, she makes meals in advance......harmony.
  4. Does falling mean that the Iguanas are actually falling to their death from cold temperatures? Must be a hefty population of them as I have a close friend who goes to Florida several times year on guided hunts down the river shooting them with an airgun. Never mind, read that they are alive.
  5. I can sling a DS if I want but I don't.....it's like casting a pendulum.

Ha Ha, gonna have to assume " stickbait " maybe even " Jerkbait " but refuse to believe anyone uses a stink bug for bait. Lol
  7. Imitate a crawdad, hop a little, drag a little. Have always used a big enough hook where the point hides under the skirt without bending the tube.....weedless.
  8. I have free indoor storage here in western VA if you feel like a little Zig instead of a Zag. Lol As a bass fisherman, it'll be depressing leaving Florida and heading north in February.
  9. I heard pinging sounds echoing off the concrete floor below, gathered up what I could find. After comparing the remaining inventory with a parts diagram.....I was short. That was years ago and since then, reels get sent out for crank side maintenance.
  10. Before I sold my kayak, always wore a dry suit with Sealskinz socks and gloves. I personally would not venture out into big water in freezing temps in a kayak. Oh, wear my inflatable PFD whenever I'm on the water regardless of temp. Good luck and be safe ?
  11. Great fish, congrats. Old man winter shut the door here.
  12. Without the need to look at statistics, this has been the coldest January for at least 10 years here. In fact, I'd argue the stats if proven wrong. Lol
  13. I just looked at a Tracker 175 TXW last weekend at BPS in red and it had 24v trolling motor. Perhaps this is a Pro series feature. Idk
  14. How long did they sit ? Skirts are fairly inexpensive.
  15. Buy a brand new vehicle and get free oil changes.......wait ! vehicle prices are up as well. Seriously though, buy oil and filters in bulk, saves a bunch.
  16. Some people slow swim a Ned, would be difficult to duplicate hooked Neko. Plus your combining 2 techniques making it 1 which would make the bait monkey pucker. Lol
  17. Can't speak for the rod, never used them. All my Ned fishing is done with 1/15 - 1/16th heads and have always used ML rods, mine happen to be Fenwicks.
  18. Air temps have a much greater effect on me though. Lol But 100% agree with what your say'n.

In moving water, I've caught more smallmouth bass with a white spinnerbait than all other baits combined. A little red mixed in seems to help. In lakes fishing for largemouth, seem to do better with bluegill. Willow with Colorado in gold with both scenarios. Perhaps placebo but it's worked for many years.

Yes, thankyou. Noticed the the cast net was white.
  21. Can't imagine. I sprint to the wood boiler under 20*.
  22. Incredible, can't imagine coming back to truck in this condition. Soon you won't be able to smile without your teeth being stolen.
  23. Wow, Superbowl won't have anything on this game. Do feel bad for Josh Allen, what a playoff performance by this big kid.
  24. Maybe Brady retires now. Complete respect for his legacy but can we start someone else's already???
