  1. Kenny Chesney -" a lot of things different " comes to mind.
  2. I know one place I won't get hung up with them ever again......at the checkout line at Bass pro. Lol
  3. Yeah Rising has rose !!
  4. 3/8 oz spinnerbait in bluegill. Honorable mention - 5" weightless Senko in PB&J
  5. I got a bait that I'll never even look at, or even own........in all capitals CHATTERBAIT !!!!!! . LOL Love Zman but couldn't wait to snag and break off the last 2 chatterbaits I owned, deliberately. I've had fisherman tell me to fish them like a spinnerbait. Nah, give me a spinnerbait.
  6. Zoom uv speed crawl in GP magic Texas rigged. Baby brush hogs in GP blue flash Texas rigged. Favorite Ned rig craw - TRD TubeZ in California craw.
  7. I know about the timer and will start doing that with the new boat. Couldn't get far enough away in the kayak. These quick picks don't do a fish justice.
  8. You'll get it down 1st trip out. I use both without issue and both feel natural. It's to the point that I pay no mind to which hand it is when purchasing a baitcaster.
  9. Luck E strike suspending Jerkbait in bone on Philpott lake.
  10. I've lived in several different states including Georgia and Alabama so consider myself a freelance. Lol I got the Bulldogs by 3 and I know.....betting against Saban is like betting against Brady.
  11. I guess now we start talking about Alabama for the umpteenth time. Lol
  12. Not to often here either. Catch an occasional pickerel on Jerkbait and occasional Crappie on spinnerbaits, that's about it.
  13. Some people are simply hard to work with and never change. My FIL who I adore and is a very nice person becomes an absolute tyrant when helping him do a project......profanity, throwing tools, impatient. When the job is done, he's right back to mellow yellow. I've helped him do projects for 38 years and he's not changed. Just something to consider.
  14. Fisherman cause this phenomenon. Yep, they apply sunscreen then wash their hands in the water so when the Bass swim through it, it attaches to their slime coat......I'm guessing SPF 50.
  15. I have a buddy that is TERRIFIED of snakes, worst I've seen. We were cat fishing on my boat one evening and I caught a large 3ft eel and brought it in the boat. He screamed like a little girl and said " TAKE ME HOME NOW ! ". He hasn't cat fished or swam in the river since. Lol
  16. Well, similarities with my mom at 93.......miss her much.
  17. Enticing, you need to get out there.
  18. Can't imagine a boat angler not having a surmountable advantage over a bank fishermen. Idk If I simply take the lakes I fish as an example, most of the fish I catch are unassesable by foot. Smaller bodies of water may be an exception though.

Wow, after following this thread, starting to think bass fishing is directly related to kidney stones. Had no idea so many suffer from this. Have to admit, several recent posts sent me into the fetal position trying to imagine the pain......isn't there a cure or a solution ?
  20. Not sure I'd consider a Buzzbait easier to fish. The WP casts further and can be paused. BUT I do feel a Buzzbait can be burned faster when it's needed. 2 of my favorite top water baits along with the Spook.
  21. Yep, 61 here and can CERTAINLY relate. Rode into town recently and apon arrival, had no idea why. Actually had to call the wife for some insight. She said " weren't you going to DMV " Oh, that's right. I have a quick record app on my phone and use it religiously for reminders but forgot to record " DMV ". lol All shop tools must be returned to their designated spot once a task is completed or they could turn up missing for weeks. What was the topic again ?

The wife and I haven't been up past 11 since Bourbon street in 2009. Lol We may make a toast, say around 9 and listen to a little music but early to bed and early to rise.
  23. Great video and always really liked Paul. Yet another reason I'll be throwing some of these Jelly worms I've inherited. Thanks
  24. I've had Interstate, Duracell, Everstart and Bass pro and couldn't tell a difference......just pick one. For optimal performance, don't completely drain the battery and charge after every fishing trip.
