Had my first productive day in 2023 and with the new boat. Air temps 63* Water temp 51* Heavy cloud cover. Caught 5 in 1 hour and lost 3 using a Keitech easy shiner in white on 1/16 Zman head, gin clear water. I mainly went to break in the Merc but fish got in the way. Lol

I'm thinking along the same line. On all my boats including current, the eye on the trailer is slightly forward of the eye mounted on the boat. When force is applied to the buckle, the only possible way it could loosen is if the boat moved forward during transit...... this would be virtually impossible

I have a digital scale but rarely use it. Prefer a quick pic and back in the water if it's of considerable size.

My wife is a clone of Rachel Ray and her specialty is Italian. I've been a happy man for almost 40 years.

It's probably the length of the rod. My longest rod is 7'2 and it gets used the least.

I believe charcoal gives a better taste over gas. I have a small travel and a large charcoal grill, haven't owned a gas grill in over 10 years.

I weighed my tackle bag last year and it came in at a gaudy 37lbs......I like to be prepared. The good news, not a single bait order over the winter. The bad news? A new boat showed up ?.

Cichlids as a whole are extremely hardy species and can live outside of their normal water parameters and thrive. In the aquarius world, they'd take over any tank in no time. If peacock are struggling in a given water way, I can only imagine the stress on native species.

I have a concealed carry and exercise it every time I leave the house...... not once on the water though. Sounds like I need to rethink that ?

The bolts on those Tikka's are smooth as butter...... very nice rifles.

2 colors I throw the most is Bone and a semi transparent body with blue on the back. Deep diving Red does well in early spring. The water I fish is gin clear. Good luck.

Didn't fish, just took the wife for a ride in the boat. She said 40mph was terrifying. ? We stayed in Harriman, y'all got a great state. Didn't have a Tennessee fishing license.

What caliber are you using at longer range ? My brother who hunts all over the country likes a 6.5 Creedmore and a 7mm08. I've not hunted deer at long range here in the mountains.

My tackle bag would get denied on the scales of an airport. If you're getting back into fishing, go big now vs later. If your hiking in or just a short bank trip, you can have bare essentials in a smaller bag but with so many effective techniques today, it requires space.

My fishing partner and best friend of over 40 years just had all his upper teeth pulled and now has new dentures. He looks funny without all those snags. ?

My boat trailers from yesteryear had the Y " Skeeter - Hydro sport " and never had an issue. My latest boat has a poly roller. Learning the pitch of various boat ramps have been my biggest issue, every one is different.
