Looking for how people fish finesse in deeper waters
Excellent question. I'm only comfortable fishing shallow and feel completely lost in deeper water. Certainly can use some tips as well.

Bourbon (Whiskey) For Beginners?
Hard to go wrong with Woodford Reserve and a cube or two.

Hot weather reminder.
In my experience, Strike King crankbaits are especially likely to do so.

MidwayUSA?
Been ordering from them for decades, long before they started to carry fishing tackle, with nary a problem. ???

Reaction tackle tungsten worm weights
They are fulfilled by Reaction Tackle. Same price as on their own website IIRC. Great weights, use 'em all the time.

Burger On The Grill
Cook the thick Angus burgers I prefer for 10 minutes on the gas grill on high, five minutes per side, adding Worchester to each side. Beer while grilling optional: today it was a Holy Roller IPA from Urban South brewery in New Orleans. After I flip, I grill a frozen chunk of poblano pepper to the side, then drop a couple of jalapeno slices on the burger, cover with the poblano, then a slice of swiss. Serve with mayo on bottom bun, dill slices on top with plenty of ketchup. This is my lunch every Saturday that I'm home...have already fired up the grill for today's lunch. Time to get to it. ??

Lews reel font on brake wore off?
Something it took me a while to pick up on, the dial has one dot on one end of the dial and a series of embossed dots on the other end of the dial: the series of dots graphically represents the "more" braking direction on the dial so you can actually do without the numbers once they're gone ? I noticed this after I scratched a "-" and "+" on the dial ?♂️

Lews reel font on brake wore off?
Sure. Printing wears easily on both casting and spinning with use. Got a bunch like that.

Agree: I've done a few of them and never had one come loose.

Donuts--Doughnuts.....my favorite snack
My favorite: what I consider old-fashioned North Country style, made from my mom's recipe, just as she wrote it out for me about 50 years ago. Still have my mom's tin donut cutter, which dates from the 19th century. Mom had donated to a local museum but I pleaded with her to get it back for me. ??

Other Species Latest Catch Pics Thread
That's the truth. Those darn things can live as long as 30 years, truly prehistoric. Whis I could have gotten a picture of its gills gaping open...looked like the bucket on a steam shovel, flapping out what looked like twice the girth of the fish! An aside. I wanted to replace that crankbait, a citrus shad, and the only 3/8 oz. I could find was Ebay for $12 bucks ?

Other Species Latest Catch Pics Thread
Weird day yesterday. Went bass fishing in a local bayou and caughh two gar, one catfish and a truly prehistoric beast, a paddlefish (spoonbill) ? They are filter feeders with huge mouths/gills that constantly strain water so they are only caught by snagging. That's what happened to this fellow, snagged in the dorsal fin by my Yo Zuri 3/8 oz. lipless crankbait. The trebles had already bent out on the gar but would not straighten out so the paddlefish, around four feet long, hauled me around for 15 or so minutes on my casting rod with 12# Sunline Sniper. Fortunately a passing boat helped me land it so I could try to remove my crankbait, which got lost in the shuffle anyway but the paddlefish seemed no worse for wear. No decent pictures available so here's a link to a USFW shot so you can see what one looks like. https://www.fws.gov/media/american-paddlefish

Buying tackle that turned out to be a failure for you…
Can't swing a dead cat in my tackle room without hitting a disappointment/failure....what in hell was I thinking when I should have been thinking "Get the hell away from that credit card, bruh" ?

Trolling motor security
Not as fast as I used to be...definitely not fast enough to outrun a law dog or a ticked off fisherman while carrying his trolling motor. ??

Trolling motor security
So true ?

Trolling motor security
If it's the same quick release MK bracket I have on my Ultrex, there is a hole for a padlock that will make it impossible to remove the motor from the bracket without breaking the lock.

Tackle Warehouse wow.
I was logged into my account. Didn't like that my cc number would automatically be "saved" into my account for future purchases. After the fact, I wondered whether it might have had something to do with discounts being applied after the fact, which PayPal transactions would complicate. But from your experience apparently not: Tacklewarehouse just hates me despite the fact their t-shirts are 90 percent of my daily wardrobe ?

Tackle Warehouse wow.
A little less than wow: seems the PayPal option has disappeared on my cart. Hope it's just a glitch. As often commented on the board, in the past Tacklewarehouse has been hacked. I personally on at least two occasions had a credit card hacked and fraudulent purchases on my card...Tacklewarehouse was the most likely culprit. Once they even acknowledged the hack. Since then I paid through PayPal, including last week. Now on a new purchase, the option to pay with PayPal seems to have dissappeared from Payment Information on my cart. Not pleased ☹️?

Show Your Rigging Station
My rigging table has to share duties with my reloading equipment. Unfortunately for the topic, this photo is all reloading gear. Move aside what I'm not using to switch purposes. I have an additional eight foot table and cabinets for soft baits, hard baits, etc., all in Plano boxes or Flambeau bins. As if this isn't enough, this room also is my music room, complete with 24 track digital recorder and a 16 track mixer. How's that for efficient space usage. ??
