  1. I have a good 1/4 oz reccomendation on a 1/0, but nothing bigger.
  2. This has been brought up dozens of times, the theory was long ago casting reels handle bigger fish, expecially in SW so you want to crank with your dominant hand. I'm not that old, and as a left handed person am blessed to get right handed inherited reels from my right handed parents. It's nice to not switch hands before starting the retrieve. Use what you like more though, it really doesn't matter
  3. Just a little food for thought, game wardens have even more power than police, and can even search backpacks, coolers, cars and boats when normal police couldn't due to the constitution.
  4. Supposivley micro guides cast further, jury's still out for mine, I'd personally reccomend to buy whatever is cheaper. P.S (id focus deeper on SIC or aluminum oxide inserts over SS, I hate SS, I pretty much only fished a 100$Saint croix all year this year for bass and even nylon monofilament dug into the SS guides and had to replace the tip recently from fishing spring-fall this year.
  5. Ah I understand, I never knew it was called that! Got some for slow fall jigging in SW, now I know what it's called
  6. Yes I ordered alot a few years ago and use them alot, hooks are very very poor but, other than that I like em.
  7. Only really use streaming for things like podcasts that change are new every day. if you have favorite songs just download them for free.
  8. I see you got the krestel, thoughts?
  9. the gears might strip from throwing a two oz+ bait on a low profile casting reel. When I first started I used a revo X, it became geary and had damaged a few teeth from hundreds of casts with 2.5 oz gluide and 6inch hud. I then started using my saltwater size 6000 spinning reel, as goofy as that sounds but held up well gear wise. Then I finally got a shimano cardiff which has held up well. Granite I still consider myself a beginner in swimbaiting, but one thing I learned is heavy baits really are hard on small low profile reels.
  10. Yup, got some good stuff from the, only spent 50$ so small order. Anyone know anything about yo zuri jerkbaits? Picked up a few to try
  11. That's a snack that smiles back!
  12. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.
  13. Yeah I broke a rod using one, hindsight 2020 I'd wrap them in towels or get a neopreme sleve and pack it tightly, or just not use it.
  14. under only 1 circumstances in my entire fishing career Ive found the line spooking a bass. lighter line allows a lure to swim better or look more natural, this is why many big swimbait guys will use as low as 12lb line in open water to allow it to glide more and swim more freely.
  15. I have been thinking about getting one, been basing mine off of IPT x .765 to account for rotation loss without line and then devide the product by how much line I want in inches, then convert it back to yards.... to put it bluntly, buy the line counter and don't be a weirdo like me... What...... now I'm done
  16. Yes, but in my experience the ewg and plastic (3 inch grub) was just too big of a profile and just turned it into a wannabe chatterbait without a skirt. Johnson weedless spoon is what I use.
  17. Was going to place order, did the math and I'm not getting extra 10% off discount for select brands, any ideas?
  18. I am not sure, I think latex free is safe, I also know this happens with certain cosmetics that have latex.
  19. Warm gloves cut off fingers P.S (i would highly discourage wearing latex gloves under neath Commonly and for long periods of time, this is how people develop latex allergies.
  20. Winter when? White what? Jack who? Lol Sorry, never heard of it. -representative of SOCAL anglers
  21. I tie it to a tree and let it stretch for 30 minutes, removes pretty much all the loops, however loops are beneficial in line management in my experience. Memory is a good sometimes a good thing, it's why braid wind knots way more than nylons polymers and floro
  22. Open water long casting heavier lures deeper water wind?
