  1. Plenty of things I haven't caught a bass on, but I think I've caught a bass on everything I've tried. To be fair I don't ever fish something bizarre or brand new. I keep it fairly typical and safe.
  2. Outside of North America, we have bass fishing in Japan, South Africa, Italy... anywhere else?
  3. A ML/F or M/F (or 2 or 3 power) will do all of those just fine, whichever you prefer. The only world in which you need more than that is if you've got the room (and it doesn't sound like you do), you've got the coin, and you detest changing baits out that much.
  4. And I would use the coat hanger, though I might prefer the tire iron.
  5. A fluke is as classic as a curly tail worm or a Senko style bait. Glad you tried them.
  6. I don't believe a single pro has ever influenced my fishing at all, but several average dudes on YouTube have influenced me to try things, as has this forum. Pro fishing is not exactly the same thing most of do anyways. The thought process is very different.
  7. 1/4 oz Original Rat-L-Trap in Blue Shiner Honorable mentions are 3/8 oz Double Willow War Eagle Spinnerbait in Blue Pearl Shad, 3/8 oz 6th Sense Divine Hybrid Jig in Black/Blue with a Rage Craw in Black/Blue, and a 5" Watermelon Red Flake Senko with a 4/0 EWG Gamakatsu hook and a 3/16 oz Strike King Tungsten weight.
  8. Having pretty much only used a spinning setup for the Ned Rig the past couple seasons, I'm looking into BFS and will likely not pick up a spinning setup again.
  9. Yeah, I knew you were joking. I was speaking generally because this is actually a real way of thinking and living all across the country. You hear it everywhere, and not always tongue in cheek. I just don't get that culture at all.
  10. I don't get this way of thinking/life. Why be in a situation/relationship where you have to sneak around to do something you like? Neither my ex wife nor my fiance care(d) one bit about my fishing or gaming. Loving a person is also accepting their hobbies and enjoying that they're having fun. Happy spouse, happy house is far more productive than happy wife, happy life.
  11. Just started fishing them again in the fall with great success after many years of failure. Been seeing a lot of YouTube videos about how the spinnerbait is becoming a player for people again.
  12. By frequency, it would be: 1. Crappie (Ned Rig and Jerkbait usually) 2. Drum (Ned Rig) 3. Catfish (Can be anything)
  13. 1. Lipless 2. Spinnerbait 3. Jerkbait
  14. I'd sell and put the money towards baitcasters for the weights you're looking for.
  15. I don't know that knot either, but sometimes that just happens. Every time we go out we have to know that line/knot failure can happen and fish and/or lures can be lost.
  16. You're going to hate that rod for chatterbaits with trailers. It overpowers it. That rod is best suited for 3/16-3/8 oz total weight. It's kind of finessey. Sounds like the 4 power was what you were looking for. Dobyns runs a power light, so the 4 power heavy is what you would expect a MH rod to be.
  17. Super Spook Jr in Bone (salt water)
  18. I'd say better quality fish are caught from the boats, and the boaters have better days in tough conditions, but there are definitely times when bank anglers will smoke boaters numbers wise.
  19. Operating a boat is never relaxing for me until I'm completely stopped. I never go fast and the whole time I'm constantly on the lookout for things I could hit, people or otherwise. It's stressful. I'll never be one of those 70+ mph dudes enjoying the scenery lol
  20. Not to be confused with the micro. I got a BPS gift card for Christmas and I want to get a couple of these. For those that have used them, which trailers are best: full bodied or baby versions?
  21. 65* in the Indy burbs lol this is such an unusual "winter" More 50s for another week it looks like Caught 4 more just like the ones above then it all died. No size, but don't care when I'm fishing and catching with topwater a few days away from New Years.
  22. It's December 27th. It's December 27th and I live in Indiana. And I'm out here doing this. On December 27th. In Indiana. I'll be here awhile today. I hear you loud and clear, Mother Earth. Plus one more on a lipless so far. But when I saw them eating on top and I picked up the Spook and caught a couple, I had to stop and share.
