  1. I built one out of $4 boards. Took a little time, but they are accessible from the boat underneath it in the summer. Right now the snowmobiles are under them.
  2. Yeah, that looks better than waiting for it to snow.
  3. Definitely. If you want a crime to stop, people have to not want the consequences.
  4. 10.years ago someone completely emptied my Ranger. I almost quit fishing. Devastating.
  5. Blue in the day, red at night.
  6. Rod building shop can do it easy. Not a super easy task for your first wrap though.
  7. At 7F this morning it felt warm. Yesterday was NOT nice. Yay 2022. -16F...
  8. My favorite bait is a jerk. Medium XF & 20lb Power Pro with no leader is how I fish them 90% of the time. Never on spinning, never mono, and never a moderate action rod.
  9. Glass is WAY better....until you catch a muskie lure to the lens when poly wins. Mine are all glass...
  10. If you aren't going to throw it, don't bring it. My tackle box has gotten smaller each year for a while now...although my rod collection isn't following suit. Confidence is what you will throw, the items that don't bring that are dead weight.
  11. Just bought a ticket to Punta Cana for mid-Feb. Would love to take the wife out inshore fishing. She gets seasick so deep sea is out....although we are there long enough I could be conned into a deep sea trip too. Being this was a bit of a surprise I haven't had time to do any research yet and thought someone on here may have some insight. Species isn't all that important but want to get out as our alternatives here right now consist of drilling a hole in hard water which is boring...
  12. Glad to share an example if someone wants. Makes passwords way easier. Although for garbage things that don't matter a password manager like what Google has built in is fine.
  13. You don't get it. Mine is unique. Cracking my other accounts will be as hard as the first. And still easy to remember.
  14. It is easy. Use an algorithm. All mine are protected that way and SUPER easy to remember. Fast to type to as not much changes, but I always know what does.
  15. Covid hit, we cut out all store bought bread. Since lockdown day 1, the 4 of us (two are now 10 & 12) have eaten nearly 600lbs of flour. All of it however is not gnarly crap flour. We make our own bread, tortillas, pitas, pasta, pizza dough... None of us lost weight, but we haven't gained either.
  16. Damnit, I've never been to Johnny's!
  17. You left out Portillos. Italian Beef trumps all on that list. There are better beefs...but you only listed chains so I thought I would as well.
  18. My is around 5000lbs total...but I consider the boat and rods part of my tackle.
  19. I am in the same boat and fish a faster reel with lipless. I also do not like a moderate rod with lipless either as I am constantly ripping them off weeds. Two completely different setups for me. That being said, I have nothing slower than a 6 and the lipless is only pulled back on a 7.
  20. Don't do it. Once you buy one you will want to replace them all. Luckily I bought my first before my collection was as big as it is now.
  21. Jig & grub Floating jerkbait Spinnerbait And yes, I won't be catching panfish with those three but I don't care. I am not going to downsize to catch a fish I don't want to catch. If the water is northern and sterile I'd swap out the spinner bait for a silver minnow or other spoon, but I've made plenty of trips where those three do nearly all of the work up in the BWCA.
  22. I have the same as flyfisher. https://www.amazon.com/Piscifun-Aluminium-Fishing-Remover-Generation/dp/B075965MS3/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=aluminum+fishing+pliers&qid=1639270177&s=sporting-goods&sr=1-4 And about 10 other pliers, but this is the first that has never let me down. Mine are actually a different brand but obviously the same chinese stuff. The ones I have are here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012FGME00/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 As a split ring pliers it sucks as a general pliers it is great. I have a long nosed one as well for the times you need it as well as the Xuron split ring pliers.
  23. I leave mine up on the wakeboard boat most of the summer. It does create some top speed wind resistance but they are robust. My neighbor has a Ranger Reata and the same. His is up unless he is fishing. On a fishing boat they really suck to cast from under. Also makes moving around the boat suck.
  24. Can't speak to the Victory, but I use a L. Elite blank in the same action for jerks. LOVE IT.
