New JDM reels - 2024 Model Year.. who's buying?
Ahh ok. I’ve used it for those lures and it works great. Line was never and issue. Now I use it for chatterbaits. 16lbs fluorocarbon and it holds more than enough

what’s the reel for? I’d get the slx dc xt. I have one and it’s an amazing reel. It’s used as equally as much as I use my ‘21 Zillion SV reels. Great little reel.

NEW G Loomis GLX just dropped!
It’s insane isn’t it? Prices here in Canada have forced me to shop overseas at a better deal. LoL I know you can’t get g Loomis and st croix overseas.

Hmmm… maybe I’ll switch to a 2500 then. I was thinking maybe 2000 would be good since it’s a shorter rod.. but what do I know 🤷🏻♂️ I don’t use a spinning reel often. That’s why I have one combo that I use once or twice a year lol (not including my panfish combo not for bass )- Latest,Rods & Reels Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Just showing me being victimized by the bait monkey 🙈 🙉 🙊 that and I saw a post with baits so I figured I’d include my latest order. LoL my bad everyone… 🤦🏻♂️- St. Croix 6’8 MXF spinning rods.
would you think a 2500 would be better with the mojo bass or 2000 size should be sufficient enough? I use a 2500 Stradic fl on my victory 73mxf and feel like it works great but it’s also a few inches longer than 6’8.- Latest,Rods & Reels Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)

that Tat 80 is zillion smooth. I have one and it’s pretty impressive. This Tat 100 is just as good so far. I’ll put it through its paces this summer. The zillion is still top notch and I don’t see the need to get any more Steez reels. Having said that. I’d still get more zillions if the price is right but for now you can get 2 Tatula 100 from Japan for the price of 1 zillion.- St. Croix 6’8 MXF spinning rods.
Ok… case open again! 🤦🏻♂️ so I have a 6’8MXF mojo bass trigon on the way from St Croix. Now I need for it or so I think. 🤷🏻♂️ I was looking at the Shimano Miravel 2000 size but then stumbled upon the Ultegra 2000 size. My spinning reels I only have are Stadic FL which I think are the best for the money. However, this new rod is for the wife to use and possibly the kid. So I’m looking at the Miravel and Ultegra to be a little cheaper by a few bucks. Does anyone have any input on these 2 reels they can offer and why they prefer one over the other? Right now they’re a pretty good deal from Japan. It would be a $12 difference for me. Is the Ultegra worth $12 more than the Miravel? And also what’s preferred line for this reel? I usually use 10lbs braid on my spinning reel. Will be used for pretty much everything so would mono be preferred over braid? I’d prefer to not use leaders if possible. Or is fluorocarbon better on spinning reels (just wouldn’t work for topwater poppers as well)?? I’ve never tried fluorocarbon on spinning.- Daiwa Tatula 100 with 'hyper drive digigear'

Very nice. I’m really liking my new tatula 100.- Daiwa Tatula 100 with 'hyper drive digigear'
Just took mine out yesterday to try for a couple hours. Awesome reel. Really impressed with this reel and I think I’ll order another one or two for back up.- Daiwa Zillion 2021 from Amazon

Cuz we fancy.- St. Croix 6’8 MXF spinning rods.
Case closed. Ended up going with the mojo bass trigon. Checked both the trigon and victory in store and felt the victory was the better deal but the wife and kid both felt the mojo bass trigon was meant for their hands and much more comfortable.- St. Croix 6’8 MXF spinning rods.
You have to bring them in the river to get over the fish phobia. I was lucky last year that he loved fishing so much. So I’m hoping this year it’s the same. I told him “to catch a fish you have to think like a fish and that begins with getting in the water with the fish” Seemed to do the trick. Couldn’t get him out of the dang river- St. Croix 6’8 MXF spinning rods.
Thanks for the reply. This is what I needed. I have an option from St Croix for an upgrade to either the Mojo Bass of Victory rod. Was thinking the Victory is a no brainer with the price difference but the mojo bass trigon has me curious. But also curious if anyone has comments on the 6’8MXF. It seems like a do a lot of things rod but I haven’t found any reviews on that particular blank. I have the 7’3 MXF spinning rod and like it a lot. I also like your suggestion to bring the kid to the store to try both rods. I’ll have to bring him tomorrow to see if we can hunt a couple down.- St. Croix 6’8 MXF spinning rods.
Anyone have any real world experience with the Mojo Bass Trigon 6’8MXF (pinpoint) or Victory 6’8MXF (tactical) spinning rod? What are your thoughts? Looking to get one for my kid.- Bass X Swimbait rod
Already looked at them for $75 each but the st croix factory store doesn’t ship to Canada. So I have to find them locally here at a discount or something else. 🤷🏻♂️ Maybe lll just give the Heavy a try and see what’s what.- Bass X Swimbait rod
Anyone have any experience with the st croix Bass X swimbait rod? Looking to pick one up in the newest model. Plan to throw Gantarel JRs, Vatalions, 6-8” Magdrafts and spro rats. Not sure if I should go with the 3/4 - 3oz model or the 2-5oz model. Any feedback would be appreciated.- Extra fast vs. Fast
- Nice heavy rod options
Oh yeah. I both rods. Great options. My perfect pitch is always with it. It’s very versatile. Same with the Okuma TCS 7’3 Heavy. I found that to be underrated and extremely versatile for everything. I found it more of a MH+ but it has the backbone when needed to get bass out of thick slop.- Anyone else the SC Mojo Bass 68MHF Casting rod?
I hear you on that. End of last year and over the winter I have picked up a bunch of shorter rods in the 5’10 -6’10 length instead of my usual 7’3-7’5 lengths. So much easier to transport - St. Croix 6’8 MXF spinning rods.
