I use the easy version to tie. The Doubled Richard Gene Fishing Machine Knot. That grumpy pro uses it too but I can’t remember his name right now.

I usually clean up after the mouth breathers.

I’m a slow learner. I had to lose one off the boat and two on the dock ( although one of those was retrieved by my second rod) before I bought a 6$ pair of fishing pliers at Wally Martinez. They are pretty handy. The line cutters are sharp and the handles don’t flex when twisting a hook out. I still carry the Super Tool though, just in case.

The cold makes old injuries hurt more than it used to. All the talk about hair reminded me of the 3” eyebrow hair my son pulled out of my face yesterday. He was trying not to laugh until I told at least it’s shorter than the one I found growing out of my earlobe. Then he yukked it up.

Ya , but I’m casting a spinnerbait.

I watch trollers like I watch the birds. A lot of times they will catch one and just keep going. I boogie over , run over the spot with my sonar to throw my marker buoys, and then catch a bunch. I’m a parasite.

With my arm healthy I intend on stroking a 1/2oz jig more this year. The jerkbait might get a little more play time too. And the blade bait this winter

There’s a couple guys I fish with that razz me about my fancy schmancy fishin poles and whatnot and everthing but I don’t let it get to me, cuz.

I didn’t see any hail in the video, but in my experience that was the worst part. Got in the center of the boat and tried to keep the bow pointing into the waves while getting bashed in the face with some hard golf ball sized hail for what seemed like an eternity. That’s been years ago and I still feel uncomfortable talking about it.

I’ve been in that situation, and it’s terrifying.

I use an Eagle Claw ball head jig and a Gulp minnow .

I’ve fallen for the no gift trick. Only once though.
