I’m in the area of 100oz a day, divide by whatever size bottle you use. My wife goes thru the smaller bottles like they were water, I try to use the Yeti with filtered water. I di carry a small bottle on the canoe but rarely open it, the Yeti of coffee usually last for the am., I didn’t add coffee to the 100oz.
  4. I’ve tried a few times using a metal polish paste I have, not enough difference for me to say it did anything but give it a try with whatever you have.
  5. Sounds like the motor is drawing over 60A. Check all the connections first, I don’t suppose you have a battery monitor? Something like this Battery Monitor it’d show you the amperage draw, built one into my battery box. Some lithiums have an app that shows the info.
  6. Scuffed up shows I use them a lot, like my canoe, I’m good with that. I do like dark colors and cork, and I do occasional clean the cork.
  7. A mid morning breakfast Cliff bar. Holds me till noon, by which time I’m on the way home when I’ll have a couple fig bars.

    “Mostly” ?
  9. Braid, reverse after 1st season, replace after 2nd. A season for me is 6 or 7 months. Mono, every winter.
  10. That’s exactly how I felt last spring of 22, then last years summer drought wiped it out. Have yet to decide if I should have it reseeded, after 40 years of working on it I’m a bit frustrated. yours looks great, maybe I should move to MN.
  11. Speaking of plastics in the water, I stopped at a local fishing pier one day late last winter to try out a setup. The water being gin clear showed all these whiteish curved sticks sitting on the bottom, I mean hundreds of them. All I could come up with was they were old stick baits, hey must lose their color over time.
  12. Mine have gone to the never use box, too boring.
  13. I’ve wondered if some of the folks that pick up the free stuff we put up are just turning around and selling it.
  14. A first for us. You can just see the butt of a normal one leaving the frame on the left.
  15. Own about a dozen but really only use 5 or 6. Normally take 3, but at times 2. I could get away with 1 if I had to but it’d be a hassle retieing all the time.
  16. John Ford, Ron Howard, and Clint come to mind.
  17. I’ve got both sizes of the Cuda’s and 3 of the Boomerangs, had the Cuda’s for 3 years and this is the 2nd for the Boomerangs. The small Cudas work out the best as they are simple but got dull after a season. The large ones are my bench cutters which is probably a mistake as they get used for all sorts of things but still work great on braid. The Boomers still work fine and are now why I use in the canoe since the little Cuda’s stopped working. My only issues with them are the lanyard is too short and the darn things seem to lock themselves every time I pick ‘em up. Still work fine when I get done swearing. The Boomers are easy to find as 2 are clipped to the Bass Raider seats and the other is clipped to the tackle bag I use in the canoe. To me that’s their big plus. For the price you can’t beat the little Cuda’s, but get a few and toss em out as they go dull.
  18. I had 1/8" cable that the squirrels could manage, swapped to 1/16". Made it thru last winter. Hadn't thought of the hawk issue, which we get, I'll try tying on some strips of cloth or some such.
  19. Bears got ours too, in the middle of the day, wiped out the regular feeders too on different days. How can a bear get them 10 - 20’ off the ground? I’ve changed to hanging everything from a wire strung between 2 trees so the bottoms are 6’+ off the ground, so far so good.
  20. It’s good to know that if I get as lucky I can still fish at 75, I’ve been starting to wonder.
  21. Going in the service and never moving back to where I grew up took care of all my childhood friends. Quitting booze took care of all my drinking buddies, leaving me with just 2. One of them died and the 2nd is now connected to oxygen. Good friends are hard to come by and harder to keep. It would be pretty lonely if we didn’t have kids and grandkids.
  22. Happy Bday to you both.
  23. Word of the day, anthropometric. And I learned it on a fishing forum.
  24. You are probably right, best thing I found was a butane soldering iron, fast and pretty much as hot as you want it, even Harbor Freight has one. A little Flux is helpful too.
