  1. About the same as Darth Baiter except I use very light Slider head hooks and Power Worms. Still, can only cope with it for so long.
  2. It’s a forum, happens all the time, I just happened to remember it.
  3. Here you go… How long can you go
  4. What was the issue soldering them together? Is the 10g stranded or solid?
  5. I think the term describes sportsmen pretty well.
  6. Look like honey bees.
  7. FWIW… Anything I’ve used for bass has also caught pickerel. If I wanted pickerel I’d target bass. The ponds I fish bigger pickerel seem to like a bit deeper water, like 3+’, in the shallows I get millions of dink pics. I’m a braid guy, when in pickerel infested water I use a 12 or 15 lb leader and retie at the first sign of nicks. I might try to avoid Rage baits, too soft for pickerel. Legs and such are gone in no time. Zoom seems to last longer, doesn’t work as well either.
  8. I have it but we can only do something like 40% max, go over and they can flunk you at the yearly inspection. I told the guy to put on what he could.
  9. There’s a retro candy store in Kittery Me that has most of the oldies, pretty cool to wander the aisles. If I could find it, Bazooka bubble gum would bring me back to the barber shop when I was little enough to need a booster seat. Don’t remember if it was the gum or the Bazooka Joe cartoon inside that was the draw. You can still get Bazooka gum, but not the single packages I remember. do they still make Chiclets in the little 2 pack boxes?
  10. Have noticed the same idea in grocery stores, high quality name brands disappearing and shelves filling with the lower quality store brand.
  11. Doesn’t sound quite the same but my casting hand fingers hurt to the point of going numb from casting heavy baits with spinning gear after an hour or 2. Switched to a bait caster, my first, for the heavy stuff, makes a big difference as long as I don’t need to be very accurate.
  12. Except in a pinch, we avoid all chain restaurants. How can folks rave about Cracker Barrel?
  13. Wonder if lunkers would come out from the weeds at night.
  14. I can do that although putting on a few wraps of Teflon tape is easier than learning a new grip. One finger over till the hand gets sore, then 2, and sometimes 3.
  15. I have the issue too, and yes, several wraps of plumbers tape works. Do take a look at where the ring sits so you can get the tape in the right spot.
  16. Ok, maybe not.

Try Apicide Insecticide Dust, go out at night and dust the hole. Just so happens I had a ground nest under the deck that I powdered last night, no bees today. Seems I need it every few years, I’d leave em bee but not with the 2 yo grandson running around. I’ve only had luck finding it online, used to carry it at hardware stores but no more, at least here in Ma. There are other brands.
  18. I’ve had a Mustang HIT for something like 7 or so years, the only time it went off was when I held it under water to see if it really worked before installing a new rearm kit, it did, but never in the rain. No problem with comfort for me. The trigger device has an expiration date on it, supposedly good for 3 years, which you should replace by then. The 1st one I got off Amazon expired just 12 months after purchase so I returned it and got one at the local Cabela’s where I could look at the dates before buying. $40

Hoping my 2012 F150 lasts another 10, has 116k but I’m down under 5k a year now, fishing and dump runs. If it does it’ll be my last, closing in on 70. New England with no garage isn’t a recipe for long life.
  20. We can tell when the fox are here or have left based on the rabbit population, no rabbit left, the fox leave. Personally if it bothered me to the point of wanting it gone, it’d be hav-a-heart time, same as with skunks. Here it’s either leave em be, or kill ‘em, Environmental Police told me they are considered a pest, and you can’t relocate a pest to someone else’s property. Of course, who would be the wiser if they disappeared from here and somehow showed up on state land somewhere.
  21. I run into similar, at least the instant crowd, when the stripers push baitfish into a spot at shore. 1st person catching draws a crowd in minutes, shore fisherman and boats. There must be something like a party line that folks call.
  22. Once in a while my lure get flying, I’ll pass on glass, at least for fishing.
  23. Used to bow fish back in the 70’s, repurposed the rod into a spooler of sorts, not perfect but it works for me.
