Looking to put glitter on spnnerbait blades, what glue?
My wife uses spray glitter on some of the crafts she sells. Works well for her use and has a good shine to it so it may well not need a clear top coat. She gets it at Michael’s or some such, it’s a Krylon product. A can doesn’t go very far and it goes all over when you spray it. That’s the extent of my knowledge of it.

- Attainable Goal(s) for 2024
Ditto, bottles and such slip out of my hands now, and the canoe is getting heavier by the trip. Hope I’ll know to call it a day the first time I launch a rod and reel out into the deep during a cast. My goal for this year is to join the Y, and actually go.- Your Dog Knows
- How many, how big, and why?
For the most part I fish 3 ponds between 100 and 200 ac., all about a hours drive. None go over 11 ish feet deep, and 2 of them end up near unfishable when the weeds fill in. Why? Cause they are undeveloped, well one has 1 home on it, they do not allow motors, and until plastic kayaks became a thing, they were loaded with bass. I fish cause I love the quiet solitude of canoeing, fishing gives me an excuse to be there by myself. There is a 477 ac lake about a mile from the house but it’s full of every kind of watercraft and completely filled in with vacation homes. I’ve been canoeing for about 30 years and have yet to put one in the lake.- Road To The Superbowl 2024
I get how non New Englanders feel about the Patriots, same way I felt about the Cowboys in the 70’s. Strange thing is that 40+ years later I still feel the same, you’d think you’d out grow it. So if I’m any indicator you folks will still dislike the Pats in the 50’s or 60’s.- A river in 2024.
Where’d you find them?- Winter rod/reel storage questions
Mine stay in the vertical rack, same as the rest of the year. I store the reels on the rods, obviously remove them for cleaning or sending out, then put em back. Mine live in the basement year round but those I know that keep em in the garage keep them there in the winter too, and yes, it gets cold here in MA too.- Kayak Kushion
Another option. Canoe here, got where I could only manage a couple hours sitting so I tried several types, stadium, 2 thicknesses of hunting seats, and a memory foam, they all slipped around and all worked okay for butt pain to some extent, the thinner ones were just so so. Ended up with a 2” Purple seat cushion, they come in a variety of thicknesses. Has a grippy covering on the bottom and doesn’t slide. You’d have to measure to see if one would fit the yak. About the same $ as the Kushion, mine is well worth the money to me as I imagine the Kushion would be as long as it works. Most of these I had from trying to make the truck seat more comfortable when doing long trips with the camper.- They are listening to us . Internet Ads
Tonight we got on the subject of funeral arrangements, it led to my DIL wanting to leave her body to science. When she went thru med school they used cadavers for a year while studying anatomy. An hour after we left she texts us with a picture of a cadaver that just showed up in her Facebook. I don’t know if it was an ad or some such, but it’s pretty weird coincidence and made me think of this thread.- if you are a couple of months from retiring, do you keep kickingass at work?
Same as the rest of my days, did nothing different. I had a handful of folks retire, I can’t say any of them slacked off, wouldn’t think much of someone who did.- Old Lure Still Produces When Others Don't
I’ve got a couple of the old bright red Worden Flatfish around, I try one once in a blue moon. Probably the oldest lures I have.- how is your kayak/canoe storage working out?
Mine’s outside, undercover, but still gets some blown snow and mist. Upside down even when I stored them in the basement.- Truck Tires
There’s a decent chance they will both outlive me.- Truck Tires
I went with a set of LTX’s on my 2012 F150 this time last year. If Darth-Baiter is right, they should last me another 13 years. I’ll let you know if they do.- Do left handers ...
Blows that theory.- Do left handers ...
If what I just read is right, and we know the internet is always right, left handled spinning reels weren’t mainstream till the 90’s. That must be why I remember casting and feeling with the same hand in my youth, which was the 60’s +.- Have a little issue here
You could do like I do with my 10 year old grandson. Even with my best efforts, he just can’t catch many bass so when I hook one I hand him my rod to reel in and release, It’s close enough to make him happy, so maybe treat your buddy like a 10 year old.- Do left handers ...
I’m a righty, cast right, retrieve left, both reel types. My grandson is a lefty, he prefers the opposite of me although he can use mine no problem whereas I am useless using his. I used to do the swap thing, no idea why or when I swapped to my current mode.- Razors
I was ticked when Gillette did away with the 2 blade so I got stuck with a 3 blade although I see no improvement over the 2, just costs more. These days I’ve gotten soft and do the majority with a Braun 7 and the Sensor 3 when I’ve got a big date. I do find Cremo works way better then canned shave cream.- Latest Catch Pics Thread
I’ve tried swivels with Mepps, where I fish they ended up being just another thing to catch weeds. If I direct tie to braid I have little if any problem with line twist on a spinning reel.- Barefoot and footwear in the Boat
Calf high cheap rubber boots in colder weather, if the sun comes out I take em off and sit in the canoe barefoot. Crocs once the water warms. It’s not like I’m walking around.- Pond Observations
