Welcome to the forum. I have a 55 lb Endura Max but you could get away with less, maybe a 30 or 40 if you wanted to, many do. The 55 is a little quicker when you have a ways to go and is nice in the wind. It’s also nice to have if you fish weedy areas. So the 55 would be my suggestion. Some run it on front, some on the back, I’m one of the latter. I’m glad I got a variable speed motor. I also use a bullnose rudder on the shaft, and use a 100 amp lithium. I could easily get away with one in the 50 amp range for my trips, your needs will likely vary from mine. What kind of stapler would you use, I may get a neighbor’s 8’er and it’ll need to be redone.

I throw the still somewhat salvageable ones in the top of the tackle box for use later, but seldom do. Once I get home home and open the box’s to dry/air out I end up tossing the used baits 9 out of 10 times. If they are still pretty good and not mucked up they go back on the bags. The bass don’t seem to care.

FWIW… The ones I’ve read about being taken apart and redone have used pop rivets when reassembling.

Same as Will. A month ago we had many chickadees and finch, now almost none. I get the same early summer, I blame that outage on breeding. I think many of our winter birds head south by now, leaving just a few thru the winter. I took down my big feeders due to the bears wiping them out several times this year. Only have a couple for the small birds that I hang up high, I think I have 2 gold finch and one or 2 chickadees at the moment. I’d give it a while and see what happens.

Tom’s got it right. Another source for info if you are interested, there are a couple Facebook groups about these little Bass Raider/Pond Prowler style boats. The Bass Buster seems to be an older out of manufacture boat, although I could be wrong, but they are all pretty much the same. I’ve not read of anyone having luck drying one out once the foam gets wet.

I used one of the Everstart DC batteries on an old camper, needed more water then an Interstate but it was okay for the $. From my very limited experience a 60 lb trolling motor will burn something like 55 ah at full or about 41 ah at 3/4. So the math says if you really want to run at 3/4 for 4 hrs it’ll consume 123 ah.

I use a set of these zig zag cleats off Amazon, if that’s what you mean by anchor locks. They have a fairly big base which allowed me to attach them with some 3m 2 sided VHB tape.

Definitely check your states rules. Here in Ma they have difficulty rules for catch and release vs catch and keep. For state awards… C&R goes by length with a ruler of sorts, you take a picture of the 2 and need signed affidavits. For C&K the dead fish must go on a certified scale, they have a link that shows sites. Beside those mentioned above, some tackle shops, boat ramps, and a few Sportsman’s clubs have them. It’s always exciting to run into something underwater in a canoe at speed.

I have a handful of CI, other then the Dutch oven they are strictly for outdoor use. For me there is nothing like a Greek style pan pizza (oiled skillet) off the smoker. All our fish gets cooked outside on one of the skillets, usually foiled.

Construction equipment or chainsaws, all I can think of is “oh boy, more McMansions”

An old book from my 1st canoe, many moons ago. The hitch knot is nice for attaching the painter to the truck when needed although I tie the tag end to itself as opposed to how they show.

PVC end caps, used SS hardware. After losing 2 mushrooms to the stumps, these have lasted 4 or 5 years so far. 8 and 12”

I have 2 lengths of 1.5” pvc filled with bird shot that help, sometimes I use the light one, sometimes the heavier, and occasionally both. I use 4 cleats, and can anchor via the one that gives me the position I want, more or less. It’s not perfect, but at least I can fish most of the time. I’m impressed, 6 to 8 rods in a canoe, best I can manage is 3.

what’s IPC?

When I travel I use my oldest least valued reel, for me a Diawa Capricorn which is built like a tank, on an 2 pc inshore St Croix rod. I do rinse both well after use. I would not use any of my good stuff. I do have dedicated rods and reels here at home but nothing small I’d take traveling, it’s all pretty low end as it gets real beat up on the rocks.

How do the specs match up between Mojo’s and the Premiers? I see the Premiers are SCII vs the MOJO with SCIII, I imagine that makes a difference.

I fish from a canoe and I guess you’d call me a dangler. No real reason for it, it just is what it is. I flip between my 3 rod constantly and rarely have the lines tangle, maybe a few times a year, maybe once a year needing manual intervention to untangle, and never angled with the net. I have one rod front, one back, and the other is in use. There may be 6” of exposed line on rod tips about 8’ away from me, in differing directions, what’s to tangle. I guess this sort of thing is why I like fishing alone, no butting heads when someone doesn’t agree with how I do things. My boat, my rules.

Glenn, you mention the extra login security available , what would be the reason/s for worrying about someone stealing my info or logging on as me here on the forum? It’s not like you have access to my financial or health info. Thanks

I do get bored with the 2 or 3 forums I regularly browse and swear them off occasionally, never lasts long though. I do pretty much just buzz thru the New Post directory and pick out the ones that might interest me, maybe 4 or 5 out of 20. If I have a question chances are I can find the answer via the search function. I have no issues with the way the forum is run, either by Glenn or any of the mods. I’ve been a moderator elsewhere, takes a lot of time and the problems that come up can be a real hassle to deal with.

I’ve seen a good number of folks driving on the spare donut on their car so I obviously can be done. There is a 50 mph speed limit when doing such, and I believe a 70 mile range. If one were to use a car as an example you could not drive a couple hundred miles on the baby tire. That said, after many miles towing a small RV, 3 sets on my last one, not once did I scrimp on tires, bad things can happen when a trailer tire goes, although I don’t suppose an 16’ aluminum boat can wag the dog. Spend the $ and get another 14.

How does a uti morph into a strained neck/back? Think I’d do a return, or at least a phone call, to your regular vet, if you trust them.
