Hook for Flukes
So I went to the creek today and was in the mood to try some fluke fishing in eddies (the river near me is still too high to fish) I tied on the fluke with a 3/0 straight worm hook (this is a 4 inch fluke) and kept missing fish Then I proceed to tie on another fluke with a 4/0 wide gap hook and continue to miss fish Is this just a bad day on the water or am I using the wrong hook? What is Y'alls go-to fluke hook and what size (straight or wide shank)? I typically use flukes on the back of chatterbaits so I'm still sort of new to fishing a fluke weightless Thanks in advance for the advice!

Did Ozark Trail stop making lures?
In my local Walmart I see them all the time I'm not sure they get bought very often though I've never fish with them because I have too much faith in the Yum Christie Critters Anyone else ever used them?

Close Encounters of the Snake Kind...
The area where I live is known as "Rattlesnake Ridge" That being said I would purchase a pair of muck boots I don't go anywhere fishing without these things Moccasins aren't as bad in my area around ponds but are terrible around rivers and streams I've had little ones come straight for me and they got a rock to the face haha (once again I'm wearing the muck boots)

Booyah Pond Magic Spinnerbaits
I love these small spinnerbaits for pond fishing I've used the booyah version and I never used a trailer I did pretty well on them with my best fish being 5 lbs, but whether you use a trailer or not will most likely be based off of your personal experience. My brother uses the exact same baits as you are talking about almost exclusively and will put a paddletail swimbait on the back (he slays them in ponds). Like I said it is all based on personal preference. Good luck!

Today. I was okay with just one bass.
When I do fish in the cold weather I don't catch very many fish but I seem to catch bigguns.... Weird how that works Heck of a fish man!

Early Spring Pond Bass
This happens a lot in a pond right down the road for me except they are smaller fish. Something tells me that they suspend to get warm when the warm front comes through. It is hard for me to get them to bite as well but I do sometimes have luck burning some type of moving bait basically right by their face. U aren't the only one Lol

Central Florida Shiner Chaos
I just don't understand why people are getting into that bad of arguments over fishing I will fish my way and someone else fish their way it's none of my business But yeah the game and fish agency should definetley put out more strict regulations on how many shiners can be caught and used by these guides.

Ditto Baits
Those look interesting Will definetley be something the fish haven't seen before Lol (if you decide to not melt them down that is)

Starting Power, Ending Finesse - What about the converse?
I do this depending on where I'm fishing. If I'm fishing ponds or streams I always start out finesse. If I'm fishing a lake or river then I start out power fishing.

Stupid Bored Friday Question - What's More Important? Your Gear(Rod & Reel) or Your Tackle(Lures)?
In my humble opinion a reel is the most important because if one has a terrible reel then the lure can't even get out there in the first place. I myself have had some bad reels over the years and it can make a fishing trip unenjoyable

Bowfin/ Grinnal
The question I have is: Will bowfin be more aggressive or less aggressive when they are spawning?
