Conference realignment has been a confusing mess for the past few years, but with the new TV deals and a $50 million dollar exit penalty, I don't see anyone else leaving the Big XII.

No, but they might travel to watch the Capital One Bowl. As a Sooners fan, I'm a little disappointed that OU got bumped out of the BCS, but the Cotton Bowl vs aTm should be a good game.

I happy to say that I do not have any pups this year. That breeding was a freak accident that I hope to avoid from now on. I have kept in touch with a couple of people that I gave pups to last year. They have turned out to be beautiful, hard hunting bird dogs. I'm kicking myself for not keeping one of them.

My birthday is December 22. A few days ago, I asked my 14 year old daughter what she's getting me for my birthday. She replied "Nothing. The end of the world is on the 21st." Just my luck.

Apparently it's not. 60% of those games weren't played this weekend. OU beat WVU - I know because I was there, and I was one lonely Sooners fan surrounded by a sea of yellow. OSU beat TTU TU beat UCF - Houston was defeated by Marshall, not Tulsa.

I want to see it, but I'll probably have to wait until it's out on DVD.

I recently aquired two trays of crankbaits (about 50 total) that had been left out in the rain and are severely rusted. The majority of them just need new hooks and splitrings, and restoring them should be no problem. Some of them, however, actually have rust on the bodies. Does anyone know any tricks to removing the rust from the bodies, or are these good candidates to send off for a custom paint job? Also, can anyone recommend a good treble hook that won't break the bank. I normally wouldn't skimp on hooks, but I'm going to need about a hundred of them.

That reminds me of a couple of guys I worked with in Texas that poached a monster whitetail a week before the season, and then posted pictures of it on Facebook!

Back home (Oklahoma) we pronounce it "crop-ee". While we're at it, we also call white bass "sand bass", and all bluegills, shellcrackers, pumpkinseeds, etc. are called "perch".

The first thing I would do is buy back my family's farm in Oklahoma. It was in the the family for several generations before my father selfishly sold it and skipped the state a few years ago. I'd probably try to buy some of the surrounding land as well. There are some awesome ponds on the adjoining ranch.
