  1. I generally don’t give fishing advice because I do not have any good advice to give. If someone needs help with something I will generally gladly do it. I don’t go out of my way because I like to have my space to fish and do my routine.
  2. Clifford pirch is killing me
  3. Well if anything I’m glad to see pros have bad days too ??
  4. That was about my only good pick
  5. I fell into the social media trap when I was heavy into musky fishing. You only see one side of the story. I want to do a tournament just because I’ve never done one. I also really enjoy fishing that section of river. That’s a big help. I was more talking in the lines of if you have never seriously done anything like it in the past. There are always exceptions some people are crazy talented at anything they touch. For us mere mortals though we have to stick with it awhile.
  6. The biggest thing you can do is not compare yourself to others. It also probably takes 10 years to seriously get “good” at something. The other thing is is you are trying to fish all kinds of different waters don’t. At least at first. Pick two and learn them like the back of your hand. You’ll always catch more small fish then big ones. Everyone does. There is just more of them.
  7. This is one of the reasons I became a river rat. I avoid most lakes at all costs. Unless I can’t get on the river due to safety. @TOXIC I would sooner not fish if it meant fishing a lake without weeds. I’d def do some homework before I’d take the boat all that way.
  8. I see so many people on the susky with their 4-6k kayaks. I just shake my head. That’s the whole point of having a kayak to me. Stop trying to make them a boat
  9. I wonder if his wife knows.
  10. Our routine before I leave for work.
  11. I love my ST. Croix preimer. I think the medium spinning rod is a very good all around rod in my opinion. I like 7ft
  12. I have a spare trolling motor prop and shear pin. I don’t have a prop. I do keep all the tools if I need to take my jet grate off because I sucked something up it. This is one of the reasons why I do not like inboard jets. If I would suck an anchor line I could get over and hopefully fix it. Inboard I’d have to go scuba diving.
  13. Looks like I’m going to be breaking a lot
  14. If the ping bothered them that much no one would catch fish ice fishing with a flasher.
  15. I bought some but have yet to throw them much. I believe they will be a great crank bait for my area.
  16. I’ve fished the tidal portion of the susky. The tide has a crazy effect on fish.
  17. I think there will always be a fish willing to eat on any body of water. Some days are just harder than others. Sometimes you hit a window. If the lakes are off try a river or creek.
  18. They have the boat to be able to safety and comfortably handle these bodies of water too. Unless it’s flat calm a 16’ bass boat won’t cut it.
  19. I can’t see them being any more stressed than an outboard jet. If something does go wrong on those motors I do believe it’s going to be quiet expensive.
  20. I have…….. none. Lost my last one a few years ago. Never caught a fish on one anyway so it freed up some room.
  21. It’s a lot less pressured than PA lakes and rivers. That’s why I used to go there.
  22. Why go all the way there for pike when you have 45” musky in your backyard that get caught regularly. Even bigger ones that don’t.
  23. One of these days I would love to do this to my recuse dog. They say he is lab golden retriever mix. They could never get a good swab on him. It’s not super important to me but eventually would be nice to know. I personally think there is some Shepard in him.
  24. To me this sounds more of a question of which style of fishing suits your body of water best. Some bodies of water tend to fish a certain way better. I would think anytime from pre-spawn to fall would be great. If you have a bank that has been wind blown for a couple days that would be another option. Fishing lakes I always worked a progression. Shallow early and worked my way to deep structure as the day went. Especially in the summer time.
