  1. I have experimented with quite a few kinds of braids. Seaguar - Smack down, Tact X camo braid, PEX8 Power Pro and Power Pro Slick V2. I like the Power Pro Slick V2 for longevity and casting distance. Tact X kind of difficult casting sometimes. PEX8 probably the best casting but not impressed with longevity. Usually buy stuff when it goes on sale for a pretty good discount.
  2. When you run one of them aground they don’t off push to well 😃
  3. Nice upgrade! With not much rain in June you could be giving it a real test come July. Running in to skinny of water, you yourself can get bounced around a little…be careful! Last year with the river a couple feet below normal. Some guys quite running certain sections because they was afraid of getting thrown from the boat. Will be monitoring how it does…might be something I will add to my boat.
  4. How big of a driveway do you have to take care of? Very Nice machine! Around here Airiens and Toro are popular. Not many Honda dealers.
  5. Fishing yesterday, and dug out a green pumpkin Ned. About the only thing the Smallies would hit. Not much size though.
  6. Fishing pretty much what you’re fishing. Keitech 1/8 oz jig, rage bug for trailer or some kind of craw trailer. Lots of bites but not much size. I have done better on a Bitsy jig or a tube for fish size.
  7. Myself I like June-bug or green pumpkin. Usually 5 inch.
  8. I’m a DT guy myself. Red crawdad or Demon is a color I fish a lot.
  9. Will say it was a good learning experience for you at least. “Good or Bad” Thanks for sharing!
  10. This fish was caught using 4lb InvisiX. 1/16 jig head with a 3” twister tail. Was on a ST Croix trout rod. 23.5” long Took about 5 minutes to bring him in.
  11. Swamp Girl it never hurts to rotate lures, you never know what the fish are going to love. Sometimes I go out and fish new and different lures. Some are promising others not so much. One thing for sure! You got BIG bags 👍
  12. For fluorocarbon I like Seaguar Tatsu. It expensive but try to buy it on sale. 10-12 lb test. SPRO Gouken Fluorocarbon is cheaper but seems decent. Smallest diameter that comes in is 10 lb.
  13. Only problem I have had with the 6th sense was the bills breaking sometimes. Black Magic gets the fish biting. Rapala DT 6 has also been a steady performer.

Fish 1/8 oz hair jig also a Keitech 1/8 oz mini jig. With a Strike king rage bug , blue craw color for a trailer. Also have some Bitsy jigs 3/16 blue craw color. Fish seem to like them.
  15. PeX8 about the lightest I fish that line is 18lb on a Vanford 2500.
  16. Tatsu 8 -12lb InvisiX 6-8 lb Braid multiple sizes and makes Seaguar braid Smackdown 10 - 20 lb Seaguar PEX8 18 and 21 lb Power pro slick v2 10 lb Mono Big Game
  17. I have an 852 and it’s a pretty versatile rod. Probably one of my favorite spinning rods. No experience with 872.
  18. What speed/gear ratio reel is best paired with them?
  19. USPS hasn’t been to bad for me. Had poop bait was supposed to get delivered on a Friday and got delivered on a Tuesday. “3 days early” But as mentioned I pick my rods up locally. I’m in Pennsylvania. I have had Amazon show a package was out for delivery a few times , and it never showed up till a day or to later.
  20. River fishing Usually 3 spinning rods and 3 bait casting rods Choppo Senko/Whacky Jig 3/16 or 1/8 oz finesse Frog Square Bill Usually experiment with a bait.
  21. My PB largemouth 7.2 lb caught on 6lb test on a purple slider worm 1/8 jig head. My PB smallmouth 23.5” weight unknown. Caught on 4lb test on 3” motor oil grub. 1/8 jig head. I have thrown some big baits and 22.5” smallmouth has been the big fish.
  22. I believe in fishing natural colors. But sometimes find myself fishing red or chartreuse jig heads. 🤔 On the fishing shows they say how great a product is,but they are getting paid to say that probably. Hosts on some shows say how good this cheap reel is. But on their shows they are using a $500 reel.
  23. I used a homemade hand tied hair jig, black & blue most of the time. I have been experimenting this season with 1/8 oz Keitech jig with a rage baby craw for a trailer.
  24. You’re getting it done! This spring, things are not wanting to line up. Dealing with high water again.
