I use my Powell 765 for my Bluegill, and it works fine. My Powell doesn't telescope though.

I got the Okuma XH and Cardiff 400, and I love it. The Okuma casts my hudd, and lunker punker just fine. Its a great combo for the price.

The bass I am catching are on steroids! I think they are related to Barry Bonds, lol. But I use my citica on my flipping stick, so I am pulling bass out of heavy cover and I like pulling them out as fast as possible. I don't have it cranked down all the way. Will cranking the drag all the way down damage anything? And yes Reel Mechanic, my lake has Florida Strain in it, and I am always hunting down double digits, lol.

Be patient. You won't always catch a fish. Concentrate on the cast you are making, not any future casts.

I do it all the time and nail fish. I just cast it out, and work it back in.

I had the 200D, and have a 100DSV currently. I had no problem with the 200D, except for the size, that is why I have a 100 now. I prefer smaller reels, as do most people.

Most of the time with a buddy. Its always good to be with a buddy just in case one of your get hurt, or if you catch a nice bass!

Dude, I know EXACTLY how you are feeling right now. My local reservoir I go to has regulars that come twice a day catching a limit of bass, and they never catch and release. Just the past week two 8lbers, a 10lber, and some other nice bass have been caught and not released. It really sucks that some people really just don't care. Someone who has been doing this regularly for awhile, won't stop at all until they stop catching fish. They don't understand that bass are not stocked, and they take awhile to get big. If you know he is doing something illegal, call Fish and Game on him and try to get him caught.

I think my hands are considered big, and I like the 100 better, but I guess its all about personal preference.

Is there anyway I can upgrade the drag plates on my Citica so I can get more drag out of it?
