Today I caught my first 8" hudd fish... after over 100 hours fishing it over the years. I've caught fish on bigger baits but for some reason I could never get them on the traditional slow bottom crawl

Had my boss and his son over today . Primary goal was bream. The 2nd bream Alex hooked , as he had it almost to the dock , a bass clobbered the bream and he hooked the bass right in the corner of the

  • So I went fishing today, and caught a 9#. Scale bounced between 8-15 and 9-2, but let's call it a 9, shall we? NLMB trout eater.   Super slow rolling a 8" weedless on the bottom in about 15

I have the 300 for one of my swimbait rigs. Amazing reel. If i could afford more I certainly would add another couple.

Didn't have a whole lot of time to fish this weekend, but still got into a few decent fish.IMAG1602.jpgIMAG1609.jpg

I caught 2 today fishing the Ned Rig for the first time.  One tiny smallie, and I believe a rock bass?  Can anyone verify that it is indeed a rock bass?  Never caught one before.

Caught my first chatterbait smallmouth today. 15" which is darn good for the Mon River in Morgantown. 2nd biggest I've caught fishing the river several times a week since August.

Looks like something took a bite out of crime .

Last official tournament on my schedule was the FOBA Classic on Lake Anna this past weekend.  Had crazy changing conditions, 85 degrees with no wind on my only practice day...Front moving though with rain on the first tournament day...And sunny skies with 20-30mph winds on the second tournament day.  Swing-head, spinnerbait, and skipping docks produced my fish both days.  Weighed in 10-11 on day 1 and 12-5 on day 2 which was good enough for the win :).  It sucks that the season is over, but it's always good to close it out with style!  May get down to Gaston for team event in November also, so we'll see if I can keep the momentum rolling...

Spent four hours on the river with nothing to show but a microscopic spot that somehow pinned himself on the trailer hook of my spinnerbait. Made a stop on my way back to the dock at a spot that usually will produce a walleye at dusk, but this guy found his way to the 4" swing impact instead! Any day on the river in Morgantown that you catch a bass over 12" is a good day. Man, I need to get home for thanksgiving and remember what bass fishing is.

  • 2 weeks later...

Slow day, very few bites, but I pulled this guy in on a lipless ghost shad rat-l trap(which has been my go-to lure in this pond for the past month). And it's a PB(I'm guessing 3lbs--other estimations welcome--I have yet to buy scales), so I'm happy.

Apologies for the angle, a passerby snapped it.

Holy smokes batman, did someone just guess a weight that legitimately looks like the weight without using a scale? I see a good future ahead for this man.

One of two better bass that I caught at Dale Hollow this weekend

Broadkill River east of Milton DE last weekend, the Stripers are in town :)

Custom silver lipless crankbaits... Medium baitcasters make catching these a lot of fun.

not a keeper, but fun on medium bass tackle, 24" striper, on custom painted rattle trapanother non-keeper striper

3 today. 1 decent. Caught my previous one's sibling.

Had to go back for a little more a-rig love today.  Top fish was 4.8. Fished for a few hours this evening as a massive cold front hit central Virginia like a slap in the face! White caps and everything but the bass were still chewing.

Very Nice Double ~

I've been having a hard time even getting a single bite on that ever loving rig !

Congrats

Had my first ever double on the Rig this past Sunday during a tournament, and they were both keepers. Unfortunately, they were also both white bass

If I'd managed a double like that on it, we'd have been in the money.
