Nice little jig order from Siebert. @Smallieseeker I saw your choice of blue gill flash for a crappie imitation and I had to get one as well, great thinking!

Excellent jigs. I don't know if there is a better quality made jig for the same or less money unless you made them yourself.

That Bluegill was a killer color for me last season.

FYI Mike is currently working on his version of a underspin. I have a couple sneak peak photo of it and its very nice looking. :thumbsup3:

Went to academy tonight and the stocker pointed out a display he just put up, said the store isn't going to carry them and got what they got so that I probably won't see them anymore...with the bait monkey on my back..and the closest BPS an hour away..I had to induldge.

Got some 7.5 Yum Genies in Old School Purple, 5 inch Yum Pulse swimbaits in pearl, and the others are there all the time, black and blue rage structure bugs (thought I was getting rage craw but messed up...hope they work just as good hopping as the craws, maybe someone can speak on this? But I see them being used primarily for punching and flipping.) And 12 lb test invisx that I won't get to try out until later in spring when my sunline runs out!!! Any tips/advice/opinions on these baits and choices of line? Oh and also a Nike drifit shirt!! Man those things are soft and really keep the sweat off you!!!20170218_205906.jpg

Looking at the pic....I REALLY want to unstring my reel and throw that seaguar on there.....ALSO he had some new hack attack spinners out there and some popping perch from SK as well...probably 8 different colors? Lol then I saw SK was advertising a buzz frog, like we can't just take our old buzz baits and throw a Ribbit on there!!:P

I'm not scientific enough to know the reasons why bass are attracted to the rage bugs vs craws, but they're both fantastic baits that you can't go wrong with. The Bug is a great flipping bait due to it's compact profile. Durability is not good, but that's par for the course with Rage baits.

Picked up some Sasquatch lures double spins and bladed jigs.

I have a serious problem. Picked this up during a lunch hour trip to bass pro. Had 2 gift cards & traded in an old reel.  Needed this stuff bout as much as a hole in the head.

Walked into Dick's "to see if they had anything on clearance I couldn't pass up."  Walked out with 8" dead ringers, couple packs of paca chunks, structure bugs and a black cavitron buzzbait.  Smh.

Over the month of February I have purchased the following items to appease the bait monkey:

Zoom Z-drop worms

Zoom Super-Chunk

Yum Sharp Shooters

Z-man Ribbon-tail worms

Big Bite Baits Stick Tail worms

Arkie Sexy-Tail shad

Gary Yamamoto Shad-Shaped worms

Stren Flurocast 400 yds of 8lb

Various hooks, jigs and shakyheads

And a Kastking Mela II 2000 size reel. (Waiting on delivery and I will post a pic)

Took advantage of the rod and reel trade-in at Bass Pro so I could pick up a President 6930 for $49 and a 2-piece Carbonlite medium fast casting rod for $65. I've been wanting this rod for a while to pair with my 2-piece Veritas medium that feels more like a medium heavy. The Carbonlite balances perfect with a Lews LFS SS. They still had a few of the $49 PQ's, but I didn't want another.

Gonna need a couple more of these:blowbubble:

Couldn't resist the monkey today. Not sure what I will do with them but I snagged 2 Shimano Crucial CRC-66MH rods that were left over from 2011. The price helped. :)

Went to BPS on Thursday. Baitmonkey was talking me into spending a lot! Couldn't resist the deals! :happy-111:

From where??

I didn't need to, but I upgraded some reels and a rod for my current setups.

Even with the trade in program at BPS you can still see my wallet weeping in the background.

Shimano Stradic CI4+ 6:0:1

Lews BB1 6:4:1

Ike Series cranking rod 7'3"

The reel was 20, hooks a buck a pack and the traps were two a piece. The Lews was mid 50's originally so not a great one, but it is a 7 to 1 so perfect for me. Haven't seen sales like this in a while.

I hate that place but this sale around I did end up going.  Abu blackmax combos were on sale.  They only had 6 left. They were $15 each.

Abu vengeance rods were $12 each and Berkeley Lightnings were $6.00.    I bought all they had.   They're resetting the fishing section. And I still say they're not going to be replacing all the clearance merch.  I think it's going to get smaller.  To date I still buy almost all my goods from eBay, Local shop, cabelas, and more eBay!

I am seriously going to snap! Lightning shocks are still $30 at my Walmart. Abu Black Max combos are $49.99! I would have bought a few at those prices. Consider yourselves very lucky!

Same hooks at my store are $2.50 to $3.00 NY sucks for prices!

Prices are about the same here in Indiana. Unfortunately I went in today and snagged several bags of flukes for $1.18, but all, ALL the hooks except the eagle claw panfish and snelled hooks are gone. I'm not sure if they are getting different brands or what, they did start carrying some vmc stuff

Went to the Greater Philadelphia Outdoor Show in Oaks today. Told myself that there was nothing I needed as far as baits but maybe I'd bring home some hooks and weights.

Yea, but when they offered all 3 packs for only $12 how could I not buy them. It would have just been wrong not to make that purchase.
