Sorry...I left out some details. I had located them in store in another state and they were very nice and agreed to do a store to store transfer. Was a lot of calling around but paid off.

i picked up some round ball head jigs today that i will be trying to tie some bucktail on later this weekend i have to make a stop at a shop to pick up some hair but it should be fun i'm going to go simple first then try to do a little more i already have a feathered treble i made for a big crank i just picked up and i grabbed 2 packs of Jackall Archelons last night

The best I could do at a Canadian Walmart.

The regal shad crankin rap square bill was my best producing lure last year. I had the best luck with the smallest size 3. According to the rapala website that color has been out of stock for some time but I've found them on other websites. The first one I bought was on a whim at walmart. 

Edit: Yes I see that is not a square bill. 

This was my latest addition, 7'6" medium heavy/moderate. Should do quite well for deep divers and smaller swimbaits.

So all this talk about Walmart deals I decided to hit 5 Walmarts near the Raleigh, NC area.  They were all having clearance and in general a lot of them were cleaned out or had stuff I decided I didn't need.  I did however found one Walmart with Gamakatsu 3/0 EWGs for .75 and found a Seaguar Red Label 6lb for 7 bucks.  I bought 12 of the hooks (10 left) I decided I didn't need that many.  

Alright scent fans, time to find out what all the "stink" is about!  @A-Jay, you convinced me to give it a go.

(just have a 'scent rag' ready to wiper off your fingers and I wouldn't recommend using the same one to clean your sunglass lenses).

Finally snagged a MS mini slammer after a LOOOOOOOOOOONG wait and ultimately changed the color pattern i had ordered from the black to the bass just so that i could get one before 2020!

Then i snagged a triple trout that's kind of a bone with some glitter flake in there.

i've got one particular lake in mind that i can't wait to throw these on and see if they call in the donkeys!

I picked up some of the original of this the other day. Anyone know what scent seems to work best if there is a "better" scent. 

A few Walmart clearance items: hooks for $1 a pack, KVD's for $3 and a Rebel for $1.50.

I got absolutely obsessed with dirty jigs last year.  This year I am forcing myself to get into cranking after pulling in a ton of fish late fall with the lipless cranks.  My last order was a ton of jerkbaits so I am going to be having fun with moving baits in the spring!

I got a Hudd Gill and a Jackal Squad Minnow Jerkbait TW had on sale. 

 

Decided to try out the new Live Target swimbaits, (blade on shad is not included) only downside so far is that they reak of chemicals.

 

Also picked up 2 Crazy jigs, 1 Crazy Blitz (chatterbait football head) and 3 of the elite series for the trokar hooks.

Ordered a tacklewarehouse bag the other night to make moving around at the pond a little easier than my big plano bag. Also with that order some flipping hooks, variety of tungsten weights, and finesse worms. 

I was waiting on my wife to get out of the movie theater, I so I hit up DSG and gander mountain. It's her fault, she left me to my own devices! 

 

After seeing the comments on the jawbone sunfish in another thread I thought I'd give it a try. Won't be a big loss if it's junk. 

Went to Bass Pro to meet KVD & dad gummit, the bait monkey got me. Couldn't resist RES on sale & also succumbed to a Stutterstep. Plus, Bass Pro is only place local to get chrome/black baby 1 minus. 

 

Well on my way to appearing in an episode of hoarders. 

Can't wait to start throwing my stutterstep. Funny thing is, if I were to see it in person I would've never bought it given it's sheer size. Buuut, after watching countless videos and getting a good deal online I had to have one.
