Exactly why I bought it. I have so Zell Pops still NIP to compare to.

its replacing my Carbon Steel composite for smaller cranks, jerks and topwater trebles. 

Got to try out my first Spook today. It was too windy to fish (for me anyways), so I just wanted to see if I could, "walk the dog." Turns out I can.

Well the bait monkey got me good as i ordered my new helix 7 for my yak and they cam back and said it was going to take 2 months to ship.  Well the heck with that take more of my money and send me the next unit up right.  I ended up with the gps/di/chirp/network model.  Six hundred dollars later i should have the most expensive sonar on any yak in the county.  Had to throw in a cavitron and a spro little deep diver and an add on tshirt.  My wife shall never find out or i may not live.

Hit the BPS Spring sale.All I picked up was 5 Cotton Cordell super spots for 10 bucks.Hard to pass that up.Grabbed 2 gold 2 chrome/blue and one firetiger.Id have bought more but I'm saving for a new rod.

Nice buy but I thought the sale didn't start until tomorrow? They also claim there are limited colors. What other colors were available?

The sale starts at 6 the day before for "preferred members". They had Gold/black,chrome/blue,firetiger, rayburn craw and another craw one.

Stopped by my local Walmart tonight and it seems like the whole fishing section was on clearance. Some deals better than others. I got a spool of 10lb Big Game for $5 and a bunch of panfish hooks (10 pack) for $.15 a pack. The Zoom Fat Albert Grubs was $1.50. GYCB baits were $5. I didn't have time to look through all the stuff, but hopefully you all have sales at your Walmarts as well.

I'm going to attempt to not buy anymore lures for the rest of the semester... 

Is this possible? I don't know. But it is probably good practice to show some self restraint for once  

I need to do this because I'm getting married in May and my soon to be wife is headed to grad school. This means I'll be the sole provider for the next three years. So I've got to start saving for my impending bills somehow.

I went crazy at BPS today... wife cashed in her credit card rewards so I got to go on a shopping spree!

 

Got a Carbonlite rod in MH/XF and M/Mod., paired with PQs. Geared up on hardbaits and a few other odds and ends.

Went to academy tonight and the stocker pointed out a display he just put up, said the store isn't going to carry them and got what they got so that I probably won't see them anymore...with the bait monkey on my back..and the closest BPS an hour away..I had to induldge. 

Got some 7.5 Yum Genies in Old School Purple, 5 inch Yum Pulse swimbaits in pearl, and the others are there all the time, black and blue rage structure bugs (thought I was getting rage craw but messed up...hope they work just as good hopping as the craws, maybe someone can speak on this? But I see them being used primarily for punching and flipping.) And 12 lb test invisx that I won't get to try out until later in spring when my sunline runs out!!! Any tips/advice/opinions on these baits and choices of line? Oh and also a Nike drifit shirt!! Man those things are soft and really keep the sweat off you!!!

Looking at the pic....I REALLY want to unstring my reel and throw that seaguar on there.....ALSO he had some new hack attack spinners out there and some popping perch from SK as well...probably 8 different colors? Lol then I saw SK was advertising a buzz frog, like we can't just take our old buzz baits and throw a Ribbit on there!!

took a little trip to the fishing show yesterday and picked up a few things. i got 2 packs of havoc pit bosses 1 junebug, 1 black/blue fleck, 2 packs of craw fattys 1 green pumpkin, 1 green pumpkin blue and 2 packs of chigger quads 1 green pumpkin purple and 1 black/blue fleck.

i also picked up a cool crank made by a local company it's about 5" long and 2oz dives 6"-8". i also grabbed a livetarget perch swimbait.

gotta let us how the new chronarchs are. I picked up the ci4 model when it was on sale during the Christmas sale and of course they beauts come out
