Well, the bait monkey hit me with a sledge hammer to make up everyone that abstained. I'd been saving up to upgrade my swimbait and hardbait collection, and BF took care of that and more.

Score!!  My TW order came in!  The Black Friday email came a little before 10PM CST and in less than 10 minutes I had placed my order. I STILL had an item that showed available be put on backorder!  Man, that place is popular!! Anyway, Got my Hydrowave and already mounted it!! Can't wait to get on the water!  Trying Defier for the first time. Hope it's worth the price.  First time trying Big Hammer Swimbaits too. @AJ conned me into getting the Spro Aruku Shad in Old Glory... You guys are bad for my wallet. Thanks!!

That duo realis pencil is hands down my favorite walking bait.  It is so effortless to walk.  Nice order by the way!

BF Box 1 of 2 came last night.

I love the Megabass diamanté. I picked one up a couple years ago and it’s become my go to walking bait. It darts side to side and has some awesome action and sound. I usually am a popper guy but I’ll throw the diamanté when I’m looking for a bigger bite.

The first wave of Black Friday stuff showed up...i'm not proud of my lack of self control.  I do appreciate whoever gave the tip of getting the free t-shirt in your wife's size!  Hopefully that helps get me in the clear!  Biospawn's 40% off was hard to pass up, as well as TW doing an extra 10% off on 6th Sense stuff.

Didn't realize how many jigs I had until I ordered a box that was too small to fit them all...whoops!

Still waiting on some odds and ends.  Took the 20% off BF deal as a chance to put myself on the Curado DC waiting list.

Alright, I've seen a handful of you take advantage of the 6th Sense discount. I wanna see some member reviews on the Flow Glider 130

As promised, here is my Tackle Warehouse Black Friday purchases. Sorry my girlfriend's phone does not take very good pictures, and I did not want to ask my oldest son to borrow his camera as the reel and the Mojo Bass Topwater rod are Christmas presents...

Tagging @Burke as he requested pics in another thread.

So after much research on this site I ended up picking up a St Croix premier MH moderate action rod from TWs BF sale. Not a big splash, but for my budget and needs spending 100 to 200 more there wasn’t enough benefit to pull the trigger. To be honest it was also difficult to find higher end rods in the moderate action I prefer as well.

The big big surprise after reading horror stories of rods being broken during shipment, was how TW packaged the rod. The rod was in the original rap with bubble wrap on the tip and the tube weighed a ton and is probably darn near bulletproof;) Comparing this to how my rod from cabelas was shipped I would for sure order a rod from TW again and they included it in the free shipping.

The tubes are nice for storage in the off season.  I can usually get three bubble wrapped rods in one tube.

Black Friday Round 1

I have wanted to give Slug-go's a try for years but the price always put me off.  Found them for like $4-5 per bag so I thought I would give them a go.  The 6" ones are lighter and softer then I expected.  I am looking for a "bigger/heavier/more durable then a 5" senko" plastic to fish weightless around pads next season.  Trickworms are the go-to for most of my tackle but are a bit too light for some of my heavier rods.

No school like old school. I love Slug-gos. I've got a bunch in various sizes including some 3 inch I use for drop shotting and a more finesse approach. You're gonna enjoy them.

My TW order should be here today!! WOOOOOOO. got some swimbaits, Triple Trout, Matts tournament series, Smash tech, mendit and some other Japanese weedless swimbait.

The rest of the haul;

sJUmp6hl.jpg?1

I use beefy paddle tails a lot in place of toads to cover water in pad fields.  I was using Skinny Dippers but they don't stay weedless for long.  I love the Gambler Big EZ so I though I would try the smaller ones.  The Sniper is part of my quest to find a heavier floro for jigs.  The Armilo is for swimbaits.

zPKLoaol.jpg

Next season I am going to devote myself to the senko until I get more comfortable with them.  I use them and they work, but it's always a fallback presentation.  The Fat Aces are for shallow pads, like the Slug-gos.

zYMVwsJl.jpg

Reloading on some trailers and giving the Netbait trickworms a try.  I use the OG ones all the time and the Netbaits seem to be the most beloved copy.  The gloves are another try to see if I can improve comfort a little.  They have a wrist pocket for handwarmers and seem like they will be great.

zT2GDNnl.jpg

After much fretting I finally picked up a proper swimbait rod.  I fell like I went too light, it does not feel much more powerful then the one I already have.  I spent about 2 hours with that big Millionaire on it and then switched it out to a much smaller Ringa SSS.  I want to use it for 68 Specials and big rats, so we shall see.

First arrivals TW, Academy and a Zillion M/XF from Amazon to hold Curado 70

Guessing this will be my favorite combo next year. The St Croix premier moderate action bought on a Black Friday as a birthday gift for me and a Revo SX I bought on Black Friday with cash from an article I wrote:)

*I had my parole hearing yesterday at Restful Meadows Rehabilitation Center - GA.  where I have spent the last 3 months under going therapy for : "Bait Monkey Issues"  . The question & answer process was going well and towards the end - I actually thought I was going to get out ... Then one of the board members displayed a recently found  : "Spend $50 and get a free TW Fish Sticker Decal" tucked under my mattress ...  When questioned about it I mumbled : "I don't know , the TW fish decal  might have been mine relating to a purchase - I can't recall as past purchases can seem to run together - it all gets kinda fuzzy as you can all understand ... You do understand - right " ?  ... Parole denied !! - Next patient come in and please be seated ... (to be continued) .

I've ordered a few rods from Tackle Warehouse now and I could have told you they do a great job packaging them :)
