Just ordered 2 Dobyns Fury rods from American Legacy....Not sure I needed them, but with 20 percent off and another 10 percent off, plus $10 off for signing up for their rewards.......Less than $150 for 2 rods shipped to my door...The monkey got me again..And I forgot the 18 jigs I ordered from cabelas and the new reel from Academy..Oh and the $25 dollar order I sent in somewhere for some crankbaits because someone mentioned a deal with $5 off......Cripes I can't stop.. And I just remembered all the jig heads and skirts I ordered from Ebay and the other order from Fishingskirts that was just delivered.............................................

The bait monkey didn't get it was one of our own. I blame you @Abby debating between the 703sf, 806sb or 704c.

 

Anyone have experience with the new Tatula Shakeyhead spinning rod? More sensitive than a Fury?

I am waiting on Dobyns 705CB, assortment of crankbaits and some Plano Storage boxes. Just received a Diawa Fuego CT 6.3:1

My cabelas order came in,

Guess the bait monkey got his revenge for my abstinence during Black Friday.

 

 

 Last October my old, worn out, heavily fished and almost without any paint left 7" slammer meet his end in a poor judged cast against a bridge pillar...  so, time to get a couple new ones:

 

 

 

Now i´m on the hunt for a 9" one to try out for the first time!

Got $75 in BPS gift cards, so we made the trip out to Auburn to redeem them.  It's VERY hard to buy things, since I have pretty much all I need and then some, but came up with a few redundant tools plus some baits and boxes.

 

@J Francho, been thinking about adding some taco clips to the kayak to hold my net and paddle.  What boat are you in?

 

Also, I have that same pair of split ring pliers/cutter.  I'm pretty happy with it so far.

The clip is for my girlfriend's boat, Wildy Commnder 140.  I'm rolling in a Hobie Compass Mirage Drive.  Good to know about the cutters.  Hopefully it replaces two tools while on the water.

 

 

@J Francho, she's beautiful.  I've seen the compass handle 2' chop like a champ, and despite the length of 12' they keep up with my PA14 well.  The new Outback outruns me, slightly.

 

I don't think I'll be grabbing another PA14 when it's time for a new one, I like the hull of the compass, the price, and the blank slate for upgrading.  Planning on getting my fiancee one this year.

I shook off the bait monkey so far....Only bought 3 reels, 1 rod, couple spools of line, and some treble hooks.

 

Got to look thru my lures before facing the bait monkey's tempting offerings.

 

 

Did well with the lurenet sale and picked up a years supply of Bandit 100s. 

Most of my orders came in, still waiting on the rod to put my new reel on...due on Monday.

 

 

Also putting together another order for TW.

 

(I'm out of control!)

Picked up 120lbs of lead today to pour some more jigheads.

Have you used those leeches before?  They are great DS lures but are also amazing nose hooked on a wacky jighead or small ball jig and just slowly swam back in. 

 

Only problem is that panfish just hammer them to pieces, so I don’t use them as much as I would like too.

Nope, this will be the first year with them. I'll probably put them as trailers on spinners or on Ned rigs. Experimentation.

I never thought to use them as spinnerbait trailers, I bet that would work pretty well.  I wish that the heads were more round and a little bigger so that they could be more easily rigged with the body in a vertical orientation.

Thanks @NorthernBasser! Been looking at those, but have heard the sensitivity isn't that great. This will be my jig setup so want as much sensitivity as I can get. It's such a good deal though!
